Mike reacts as demonstrated in the pictures when he sees someone he is familiar with. Otherwise he pretty much sleeps, paces his habitat and plays in his pool without paying much attention to any visitors. He gets excited and animated when he sees someone he knows...So, I'm hoping the guy in the picture wasn't teasing Mike... hopefully Mike was just reacting to his familiar presence.

Also, wasn't Mike at every home game last year beginning with Florida?

I think you are right.

I stopped by Saturday afternoon to show my cousins Mike. He was chasing small birds all over the place. Never caught one though....

How hard would it be for tOSU to get a real bucknut? Come on Big 10, step it up.

Kinda fricked up that there isn't actually a buckeye tree on central campus...at least I've never seen one.

But Mike is hands down the most badass "real" mascot.

And I guess livestock technically counts but not too exotic or hard to come by.

As big as he is, he is very young and still acts like a giant kitten at times.

I like my steaks very rare and have commented that I like to chase the cow down for it.

What other universities have a living mascot?

University of North Alabama has two Lions (Leo and Una). I know UNA is not a Division I school, but they're lions are cool to see in person.

Texas Tech has a black horse the Red Raider dude rides on. Years ago, after a TD, they ran the horse down the sideline, it slipped on some metal grating and fell. Broke the horses neck.

Talk about a bad deal... that sucked.

Did they ever get him into his cage last year for a football game? I know they tried to bring him to a baseball game but he wasn't having any of that.

He has been doing alot better at getting into his traveling cage. Takes a little coaxing to get him in though.

He is probably pissed at the d-bag wearing a green LSU hat with ND logo on the back. WTF is that?

I'm not wild about pastel/off colored LSU gear. Why not just go buy some other teams hat?

Did they build a new cage to use for the games for the new Mike? He is supposed to be way bigger than the last Mike once fully grown.

i dont know, but i work at the vet school and everyday i pass by where they store his trailer, and i havent seen it in over a month, so they might be making a new one or renovating the old one, or they are just practicing with him so it stays by his cage. I'll ask some people around here tomorrow and see if they know anything about his trailer situation.
