Having Mike the Tiger in a cage at the opponents tunnel before entering the field would be awesome for a cameo appearance.

Has that ship sailed or can the new AD convince the BOS to mare it happen?

We are discussing a cameo appearance.
Other schools continue to do it, i.e. Colorado, Air Force, Auburn, Texas,.

That tradition should be kept alive.

Geaux Tigers!

No. And that decision isn’t in the hands of the AD or anyone else other than his vet. It’ll never happen again.

I’m more concerned with getting Mike a female mate.

Maybe if he got laid from time-to-time students wouldn’t have to chant STTDB.

It won’t be long until they put some sort of structure between him and the glass where he swims.

Too many idiots antagonizing him against the glass not knowing how easily he could die if he chipped a tooth against the glass.

The last time I was at His habitat, they had several vet schoolers out there keeping people from doing it.

I think it’s great that they’ve decided to keep him in his habitat so that fans from both teams can see him, but people need to be smart about it.

It's the most overrated tradition ever.

First the Tiger goes in the cage and does a lap around the field well before kickoff with hardly anybody actually in the stadium. And then, they set them by the visitors tunnel, but the opposing team doesn't even notice him as it runs out. And it's not like there's any energy from it, because the cage is so small that Mike can do nothing but lay down motionless in it.

Not to mention, the cage is double-barred, so you can't even really see Mike in the cage from a distance.

He’s still on the field when I play NCAA ‘14.

It sailed and is an artifact inside a museum at this point.

LSU is under external pressure to do away with the program and has to continually prove the top notch care it provides for Mike. That doesn't include forcing him into a small trailer and parading him around noisy stadium for a football tradition. Just the way it is now.

We can't do it if we want to be an approved tiger sanctuary.

That decision was made to placate PETA and YES it can be revisited. Once again, it’s all subject to what the money people at TAF are interested in doing. They spent millions of dollars to build and then expand MIKE’s habitat and we have recently seen an excellent example of the amount of power the the money people possess when they, thank god, dropped a nuke on Alleva.

If you think that this isn’t the case, then your naive and blind!

And that includes a potential future amendment to alleged opinion of Mike’s veterinarian.

Just say’n....

The different between these schools and LSU is that their animals actually do shite on the field when they come out.

All Mike does is sit there in a cage, because he can't obviously be running around the stadium. He adds nothing to the game atmosphere.

As pointed out, these people have no say so. The veterinary staff that cares for Mike has that say so, as they should. It will never happen again, and, as much as I loved it back in the day, it probably never should have.
