That isn't accurate. People get caught up in the big numbers for the major sports. But all of the profits pay for scholarships for ALL sports, tutors, meal plans, housing, etc.
Cash straight to their pockets. People like Mike & Mike and the other two are saying college players should be cut checks like pro players. None of the broadcast money goes towards that.

breaking an NCAA rule like every Heisman campaign in the history of ever?

What....isn't this the same company that ran commercials for months focusing solely on Jadaveon Clowney?

Then they should also stop reporting on all amateur athletics since they too are making money on them.....

athletes are used in marketing campaigns for every sport at every college in america. why is this any different?

Ok. Just skimming topics while I'm on lunch. From what I saw from the first page it appeared that they were talking solely about making money. I never read about a rules violation. Even so, if the making money aspect is what the convo evolved to, then my point it still valid.

the campaign is "he's coming." it doesn't show his face or number.
not sure how much more ambiguous one can get

even if it is (i haven't seen that yet), that's perfectly legal. that's actually what schools use instead of names to comply. I'm sure you remember our "All Eyes on 3" campaign for Kevin Faulk?

My thoughts are ESPN makes money off of college athletes as well.

Might want to cool down on the racism champ. It's 2015.

Mike and Mike blow,
ESPN radio and Collin Cowherd are the reason I listen to Sirius, their college programs crush ESPN.
SVP and Russillo were good but now its like a tabloid show so I am grateful to have Sirius.
What do they expect LSU marketing to do? Simmons is enrolled already.
Also I am for paying students to play sports.

I like the campaign and the excitement and attention it has already generated.
I also have no problem with Universities using the likeness of athletes in marketing campaigns.
That said even EA stopped a great profitable game like College Football for threat of lawsuits etc and they were more ambiguous than our campaign.
I hope we shrug off the criticism and keep the campaign, but I would guess we fold under the pressure at some point.
