I had this thought. It's either pay or take a crappy flight at crappt hours. At this rate, I'd rather drive.

you should have booked 2 months ago like the rest of us if you really wanted to go. Round trip for $250

You should know everything in todays society is over priced

LOL. I used to live in Vegas and made that drive a couple of times. Of course I was substance aided at that time. Drove straight through in 27 hours with a few stops along the way by myself. Nothing like singing to the cows in the middle of west TX at sunrise. Probably a little better now with SXM radio. Great drive from TX to NV as very mountainous and scenic. Probably not as bad with another driver.

Yea it's really long lol. We're still thinking about whether we actually wanna do it or not but we're considering it. I don't get to see this friend too often so if anything it's opportunity for us to catch up

Would be a great way to catch up. But I have heard it can be a boring drive. If you do it, hope you have fun!

Do this.

My 8 year old son and I bought tickets to the final CWS game in 2023 and drove up to Omaha from Prairieville the night before the game. We were exhausted when we got there and even more tired when we got home but it was a trip I'll cherish for the rest of my life. He had a blast as did I but watching the Tigers win the title in person wasn't nearly as sweet as experiencing that with him. We both made lifetime memories on that trip and it's genuinely probably the best time I've ever had in my entire life.

Depending in the days you want to fly, you can get a flight for $250 but it's a connecting flight on Spirit. I've never had an issue flying direct on Spirit, so I can't speak about a connecting flight. It might be worth a look to save yall 50 hours!

Rent a car for $300? I don’t think so. I rented a car in Phoenix and paid twice that. Gas prices out west?

I'd book the 200 dollar round trip flight from MSY to Los Angeles then rent a car and drive.

wouldn't be so bad if 900 miles of Texas weren't in the route

Makes it better. High speed limits most of that way

I’d drive to Houston/ Dallas then fly to Vegas. Should be quite a bit cheaper.

You won’t regret the trip. Plan to where you hit Albuquerque during the day. The drive in is beautiful. Albuquerque is also your final chance to hit up Taco Cabana, fyi.
