I agree that Ford will get much of the workload. He is a better back than Ridley or Murphy. Ware does look like he's ready to contribute right away.

From what I've heard from a reliable source Michael Ford is an absolute beast in the weight room. And it's not just the weight room. He would of gotten on the field last year had their not been so many RBs in front of him. He will be special.

What about the history of this coaching staff makes you believe a RS freshman will start over a junior?

It's not like we haven't had FR come in and play a lot or even start. Williams and Scott played a lot as FR. Overall, I just don't think Ridley is that great. If he plays a lot it will be because he does a good job in the passing game, but I think Murphy is better in that area.

Will be zero factor next year.

Depth chart is Ridley #1, Murphy #2 and it will stay that way. Sheppard will get alot of action in the slot.

It will be like 2006

justin vincent and alley broussard getting the carries, while Keiland Williams and Charles Scott sit on the bench.

History will repeat itself and you'll have fans saying:

"What is ford doing on the bench!?! and ware?!?!"

you people are out of your mind if you think anyone other than Ridley and Murphy get any significant snaps. Ridley is going to be the 15 plus carry per game guy with Murphy being the third down back. Ford and Ware will likely only get garbage carries despite Ridley and Murphy being sub par.

Murphy is a good back ad he has experience.
He also has a different skill set than Ford, Ridley and, even Ware, who seem to me to be similar. The latter three will compete with one another for touches vs Murphy, who will also see a lot of third and four or longer.

Williams was 2nd on the team in carries behind Hester. Scott was 5th, but still had 46 carries. The ball was pretty spread out in 06.

Being that Ridley was lucky to be in a situation to even play in 2009 due to the ACL he should be quicker in 2010 and have a better feel for the speed of play on the field. I like Murphy, but with Ford and Ware in the fold he might be better used as a slot receiver or from the Wildcat. I have no idea if Ware plays this season, but it is evident from his video that runs with a lot of power and gets to his max speed in about 3-4 steps. He should be a good one. What is the word on Calhoun, has he gained weight as I call him being very light coming in last year.

If that is true then this offensive coaching staff will not have improved and will be making the same lazy decisions as last year.

yeah i agree, Murphy and Ford at RB with Ridley playing FB and some power running back. We may RS Ware. If we dont we better play him more than we played Russell Shepard this year

I have heard the opposite--that he was overrated and a disappointment on the practice field. This is not my personal opinion (I have no idea) only something I was told.

Ford is the real deal. He will be the starter before the end of the season.

Ridley will be in the top 3 in rushing next year in the SEC. Changes are being made to the Oline. He looks in the best shape Ive seen him. Like an Adrian Peterson clone. GET READY.

They really need to start training Sheppard the way they did Perilloux by allowing him to come in a run the option and wildcat with a few pass plays off of it. The knock on CM is that these guys don't really get used in year one and get lost during games. He really needs to make sure there is a plan for these guys and that it is being used every game possible.

46 carries over 13 games?

nice

what about the auburn game?

the trio of hester, vincent, and broussard accounted for 3 points on the board and not many yards.

meanwhile in that game, scott and williams are no where to be found..
