Can yall take the political discussion to the OT or PT? This thread is about Mike owning Eric

How about African and West Indian immigrants are succeeding at the same rate as non-Asian immigrants. The Asians seem to kick all other races arse because parents require more than assigned studying. I guess education is a general predictor of success is racist too

Eric Reid always trying to get the attention on himself. Probably my most disliked Tiger of All time. a true piece of shite.

not quite. universal access to education is though.
I come from a place where education is literally achieved by those able to pay for it, but that's for a different conversation.

Are you really saying “frick him” to a former lsu player
Yep. Just like I would for any other out of touch retard.

Dr Thomas Sowel has some interesting books and videos talking about getting out of poverty. With a PHD in economics he has many ideas about racism in America today and breaking the cycle that could help the black community
I'm sure he does.
You've now brought up multiple nonequivalent examples. I'm not sure you understand the difference between being enslaved for multiple generations and what it takes to get out of that. I'm not smart enough to know all the answers to that either, but I don't use farce comparisons to make a point either.

Damn that’s rough. How’s the weather in Uganda this time of year?

I think it's disingenuous of anyone to pretend that eric reid doesn't have a point, LSU is pathetically underfunded and the lack of strong educational institutions in LA is part of the reason everybody moves away..no businesses want to set up shop in a state with decaying infrastructure and no strong base of educated youth to pull from.
But Divinity is right too, if he's that worried he can open his pocket book and make a difference more than most of us can.

Nearly everything said in this thread should have been for a different conversation...
This isn't about having a "different" opinion. Reid is simply wrong and has rightfully been called out for his pandering here.
What he's attempting to do, unsuccessfully I might add, is to suggest that funding is an either or situation. It isn't. He knows that, btw. There is nothing that suggests that a person can give to only one thing. My guess is, that many MANY folks that donated specifically to TAF and for this project specifically give large sums of money to other causes which they deem worthy.
THE PROBLEM IS, Reid has decided that HE is the arbiter of what is worthy and what is not...despite the fact that he has benefited since his college days and through his current employer by what he now seems to consider not only frivolous spending but money taken from other more needy folks. Essentially, he's forgetting that each and every dollar he now earns is considered "wasted" and ill-spent by anyone who thinks professional sports is a waste of time and money. Is he advocating people stop buying NFL tickets, watching on TV so ad revenue dries up, stop buying gear with players' names on it, etc?
Divinity isn't wrong...though it would have been better had our current players stayed out of this on Twitter and allowed Tyrann and Patrick to step up and put Reid in his place. After all, they are the guys that spent big money here...it seems as though he's questioning what THEY spent their money on, right?

Divinty just became a lot of people's fav tiger, myself being one of them.

That’s cute and all, but he actually doesn’t have a point and that’s what all these fricking twitter idiots don’t realize. The money for these renovations, and the money for the shite reid is crying about comes from two completely different sources, so there is no relation
But he’s too stupid to realize this (and so are all the other bleeding heart vaginas)

Maybe he does. He was a drop out at sixteen that was a Marxist in his youth. Joined the marines and got his BS from Harvard. I believe his masters was from Stanford but I could be wrong. PhD was from U of Chicago studying under Milton Friedman. He smarter than you or I or anyone else on this board. Oh yeah he is black.
With his family leaving the Jim Crow south and moving to Harlem in the forties, would u agree he has seen discrimination more closely than most black people under the age of thirty.
While their are no equivalent arguments, my points are the structural barriers to black success are almost nonexistent. At some time people have to make their own decisions on education, money management, having children out of wedlock, and a host decisions no one else can or should make for them.
The videos reinforced feelings I had from my conservative upbringing. They speak to anyone wanting to improve their life without having immense talent, like athletes or entertainers. Could be good to listen to a person that made it on his own.
I like Larry Elder too.
