That was a really great break down. I look forward to his write up on LSU.

Rosier, the entire Miami offense and their fans will be stunned with the speed, quickness and athleticism they will see on LSU's defense. LSU will be the toughest defense they face all season.

I also watched... no I almost watched a Miami game and as I I clicked down looking for one to watch it struck me.
WHAT A NOTHING SCHEDULE! Bethune Cookman. Arkansas State, Toledo, Duke, Florid State(big name but a 5-7 team last year) Ga. Tech, Syracuse, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Virginia. Those were their wins. That is a nothing schedule and what they are hanging their "badass" reputation on.
I think this will be a relatively easy win for LSU. 21- 10, 24 - 10 but it could very well turn into a blow out for LSU
One other thought. For those of you who have questions about this year's offense, did you ever have questions about Less Miles predictable, one dimensional, toss dive into a stacked box offense?

For one thing, the two guys they lose, #52 LT McDermott and #73 LG Darling, were by far the most effective blockers in my opinion, and for another I never saw a third tackle getting any reps so it’ll be an untested OT taking over

Us or Clemson.
Don't forget that Clemson will have an historically talented defensive line. They had several draft picks come back for their senior years on the DL and highly heralded backups.
And Clemson led the nation in TFL in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and I think 5th last year. They are a beastly defensive unit.

This couldn’t be any further from the truth lol. Darling routinely got beat and after a solid freshman year he was horrible after that. McDermott was solid for most plays but routinely got beat badly 2-3 plays throughout a game which is what you can’t have.

I mean, this guy is unbiased from another team, and watched every single play of every single game while examining each unit of the team.
You just think he's a moron?

So...are you saying that those two guys weren't your most effective blockers on the offensive line last season? Or that they did not leave school? Or that there was a third a third tackle getting reps? Or any combination of the above?
Which is the part that is further from the truth?

The people who left combined for only 16.5(43 total last year) sacks and 42 tfls (110) which is 37% tfls and 38% sack production gone which isn’t a lot and we rotate our entire front 7 so the guys behind them have played extensively. Miami will have an even better pass rush which is pretty scary considering they led the country in sacks per game last year
But did the D-line of last year perform well enough to allow others to make TFL? If the D-line soaks up the O-line, it just makes everyone's day much easier.

Fairly accurate write up by the Oregon gentleman. We are kicking Navaughn Donaldson out to tackle who played well as a true freshman at guard last year and is our most talented offensive lineman on the roster. I’m more concerned about our guards, who are experienced guys (RS Jr and RS Sr) but are Al Golden era holdovers who aren’t particularly talented.
As to our defensive line, losing Norton and McIntosh to the draft sucked, particularly since neither had any business leaving early. Gerald Willis and Pat Bethel are competent replacements, and while they won’t replicate what McIntosh did as a disruptive 3 technique we tend to kick Demetrius Jackson inside at times who will help and our defensive ends are the strength of the team. Joe Jackson and Jon Garvin are first round talents.
