Can anything be done in the offseason to help him with this? He looks like a cigar store indian back there. I was hoping after that display in Arkansas they would work with him on that during bowl prep.

HE can move aaround in the pocket well enough and has the arm to throw it on the run, but he sin't gonna scramble around enough to avoid de blasting past the tackles .

Take a pistol, tell him to dance and start shooting around his feet.

Yeah... Has nothing to do with the O-Line, right?

I'm sure they did work on it, but I bet when they worked on it in practice, they used a right tackle. Last night, LSU didn't have one.

True, but throw it away and avoid the sack if possible....

Brady and Manning are 2 of the most unathletic people on earth and they do it over and over and over. Its more about Mett being a lazy guy who is more worried about how cool his little haircuts look on TV then improving on his faults.

His accuracy is worse. He can't hit the side of a barn all season. He overthrows his receivers by 10 ft all day. Ask Odell.

absolutely no imagination on offense. why not the wild tiger. 2ndown and 2 yards and end up three and out. mett is super slow and can't avoid the sack. hope rivers puts him on the bench next year. and we get a real off. coach.

Isn't that great.

What really gets me is that he runs into sacks a lot of the time.

Drew Bledsoe thinks he is a statue back there. No adjustment to where the rush is coming from. No pocket awareness. Just stand there and hope for the best. The playcalling is often called into question for good reason, but the pocket awareness, sliding out of the pocket, stepping up into the pocket, passing touch and basic decision making are all on Mett. He is NOT what we thought we were getting.

It just boggles my mind that we keep relying on him as our main offense when it is obvious that running the ball is our identity. Someone should tell our coaching staff what our strengths are.

Jeremy Hill in the 4th quarter? 1 yard of total offense in the 4th quarter? Defies logic.

Looks like we are stuck with Mett because Dumbo Miles cannot adjust and worse, we are stuck with Dumbo Miles for 7 more years of the same...

It's less his mobility and more timing. He played like a 1st year guy which is what he really is. He'll get better but the talent around him is dwindling fast.

You should call him. He probably never thought of trying to throw the ball away.

One has to wonder if the 1's on defense are going full speed in practice. Of course the O-line is not utilizing proper technique to give him a chance, but he just drops his head & crouches. Hope things can get corrected or it's not going to be pretty next year either....

Who are we losing on Offense next year? Lonergan, maybe Ware and/or Ford? Offense will still be stacked next year ... it's the offensive philosophy that we have to worry about.
