Dude left early and Saban put the no go word out to all the teams so he went undrafted.

This didn't happen.

He should have stayed, but I don't think Saban told all the teams not to take him. He still got a chance in the NFL, it just wasn't to be.

Wish he and Maulk would have stayed for their senior years.

He was so polite and he's huge (at least to me all of 5'4"). Looks for sure like he's still working out. Said he's looking foward to the season

He earned his degree in 3 years and had enough Saban's beratings. Having stayed an extra year at LSU would not have helped his chances at sticking in the league. He was still a 4.9 forty and that wasn't going to change. He and James were an outstanding combo for LSU at the time. Hope finds success at VC.

I don't think he will have trouble with the vc parents getting on him. They will have respect for a former college star and NFL athlete...at least I hope they would. I'm sure he's forgotten more about football than they know. Plus he's big and black...if they talk about him it won't be in the form of screaming on the sidelines during a game like with previous coaches.

I'd be more worried about him leaving bc he had a little success to go to a public school or a richer private school.

Plenty enough to know how it is on VC coaches at that school. I work with a former VC coach now. I have stood on the sidelines for plenty of VC football games.

VC hasn't had the likes of a Trev Faulk coaching though. He's BIG, he's black and he has been places that no other VC parent can claim to have been. So, even though they might question some of the things he is doing, I seriously doubt they will be screaming from the stands on from the sidelines the garbage they have with other coaches. I could be wrong...just don't see it happening with Faulk there.

His cousin Kevin might give the team a pep talk.

I played for a former VC baseball coach, he lasted one year at our school before he said the parents were too much to handle.
