So apparently Hugh Freeze is the lead candidate for the Bama OC job per numerous reports about him being in T-Town recently.

What level of melt would this board hit if this goes through?

I have to admit, I've transitioned through all of the 5 stages of grief after the SE hire and am now in the acceptance phase. But if this shite happens, my personal melt would border on epic proportions.

What’s crazy is he’s allowed to coach without punishment for what he did at Ole Miss.

I think it would be analyst role.
Saban way of not having to go against him anytime soon
Rehab him for when he runs off next OC

With Saban success why would you even want to have those media questions

Yeah that's something I don't fully understand either. How can they get away with that?

It would be very difficult to beat Saban IMO, if Freeze was his OC.

i forgot to insert sarcasm

He's barred from being a HC (i forget for how long) but the NCAA investigation found that the majority of the infractions happened "without his knowledge". The real question is how believable that is

Melt will be and should be a 11/10. Not necessarily because bama has him and we dont, but because bamas admins were willing to hire him, and ours was not.

It will give credence to every feeling that our admin is inadequate, and not operating at a capacity that helps LSU succeed in the SEC.

I damn sure won't be melting. i'm concerned with LSU and what bama does if what bama does. saban has to replace coaches every year. I think freeze would be a good hire for them but what I saw of their freshman qb, it probably matters little. the kid is the real deal.

It would just be more proof that Bama does everything they can to stay at the top while we do everything we can to stay average.

I pray lsu stays average. It could get horrible with what's going on with the offensive side of the ball.

like this guy....0 fricks

would it be nice to have a coach that actually goes out and gets the best coaches to help his team vs. a guy that blatantly lies about it, hires his buddy, and then has the balls to call him the best OC in the country at the intro presser? Yes that would be nice, but we hired Ed O so hoping for competence went out the window a long time ago.

Because all Saban wants to do is win. He doesn't give one shite what anyone on the outside thinks of who he hires, or let's play. He simply does not want to lose. He'll do everything in his power to avoid that.

I called this happening weeks ago. Not because I had sources but I have common sense. Hiring a great offensive mind is what any coach dedicated to winning and competing for championships would do....not O. Not our AD. While I want LSU to win and be successful, I will comfortably enjoy watching it all burn down.
