I don't think you understand what this phrase actually means. Controlling your own destiny means that all you have to do is win out to reach a certain goal and that the actions of other teams in other games are immaterial. That's no longer true. If AU also won out, they'd won the tiebreaker. So we'd have to win out AND have AU lose. While it's probable AU will lose again, that's still not controlling your own destiny.

There are many teams in the remaining schedule that will have their way with us.
We are looking at 4 or more losses this year.
We can't even keep control of simple game time so it is dubious that we control our destiny in the West.

You are truly an optimist! I guess you could say it's possible, but highly unlikely. Do you honestly think this offense will beat Alabama,Texas A&M, Old Miss,or Arkansas. There defenses will take away LSU's best offensive weapon Leonard Fournette. They will load the box and make LSU pass.
