Mekhi Garner accepts invite to East-West Shrine Game

#LSU CB Mekhi Garner is headed to the East-West Shrine Bowl.
While he’s got a year of eligibility left, Garner participated in Senior Night with the Tigers.

I’m a little disappointed Welch didn’t get much playing time.
We usually have a stud freshman corner or at least a freshman corner in the rotation that we expect to become a stud year 2.
I thought Welch would be that guy.

He had a pretty significant knee injury late into his senior year. I’m not sure he has been 100% the majority of the year.

You're being a bit obtuse here. Every transfer or recruit is a risk. Most of us were hoping Garner would return.
Garner accepting the game invitation is a pretty good indication he will be leaving for the NFL and I am fairly certain that is what Lakeboy7 meant when he said this is not good. It's not good if you want him to return, nothing more than that.
