Because they will never bring Mike into the stadium, what they should do is film him roaring or whatever and show it onscreen in the stadium when the band comes out for pre-game.

am super excited but let's be honest, he doesn't compare to Mike VI. Mike VI was friggin majestic!
Hopefully, he (VII) will piss on people who annoy him like VI did. Now that was friggin majestic.

Well, a habitat is a home, so that's a pretty low bar you set there.

At least this. I think we should put a live camera on him routed to the big screen or, better yet, routed to some big screens attached to his old cage on the field. Feed him a treat on game day. I don't think it would be cruel to teach him to roar for a treat. We could still park it right next to the visitors locker.

I see some prominent forward-facing stripes on the top of his head. Clearly this will be a vertical offense mascot.

While I can't help but feel disappointment that Mike will never again be parked next to the opponent's tunnel in Tiger Stadium, I'm glad we'll at least have a Tiger across the street. It's one of the over-the-top, absurd things that makes LSU (and Louisiana) so special.
