Didn't BK say LSU had one of the highest GPAs in the league...

5 wins or less during that time.
LSU has had one of those since the 90s & that was only bc of Orgeron.

Only team clearly more successful in last 25 years is Bama.....

3 NCs played for 4.

Not good enough. I need my gratification immediately (to supplement my otherwise unremarkable life).

Not really. If we would have had a full season with non-conference opponents, 2020 probably would have been a 7-8 win season.
2021 was worse going 3-5 in SEC with a 6-6 record

Do any of you have any idea of how hard it is to build a program from almost scratch.BK inherited a dumpster fire that hardly had any depth whatsoever on the O and D lines and still won 10 games his 1st season.Compare that to Nick who inherited a full roster and won 8 games in 2000.It took NS 4 seasons to compete for a nattie. In his 5th year he lost 4or 5 games.Open your eyes people and quit being so negative because you hate BK and look at the facts.

Kelly also has had a learning curve with NIL

Nice way of saying LSU donors have been stingy until Underwood flipped.

Don't worry: We will be back. Despite losing one highly touted recruit to UMich, we have a strong pipeline of players headed our way. I'm actually feeling pretty optimistic about the seasons coming up!!

Go research the end of Archer through the Curley Hallman years ('89-94') then get back to us with your apology.

My big concern is S&C. A&M bullied us last year and just ran it down our throat. Letting Tommy Moffit go was likely an enormous mistake.

Before anyone comes at me about that - Nick Saban loved Tommy Moffit and tried to poach him several times. So either I and Nick Saban are correct or Brian Kelly is. You can pick your side, idgaf. I know we never got bullied by the Aggie's when Moffit was on our side and all of a sudden with a first year head coach they just pushed our shite in last year snd looked bigger, stronger and better conditioned in the 2nd half.

This is dumb and you should feel bad

Of which you spent the first 3 or 4 of that time being dressed in LSU clothes and not knowing WTF was going on.

We all want championships, but appreciate what we have. I endured the late 80s and 90s. I can remember being absolutely thrilled winning the Independence Bowl against Michigan State in 95 and Notre Dame in 97. You think now is bad? Try living through the Hallman era. Some people would laugh at you for wearing LSU gear at school.

I expect more from Brian Kelly, but I also appreciate what the program currently is and every single win we get. LSU would have killed for this kind of success back then.

My advice, always push LSU to be better, but enjoy the ride along the way. It can always be much worse! The program was DANGEROUSLY close to dropping back into the abyss, just a few years ago.
Well said

People bitch about being mediocre... I remember when we thought it was awesome to get 8, 9 wins in a season. Because it wasn't happening every year.

I agree. I'm 65 and I attended school during Archer, Hollman, Denardo years. #12 or higher at the end of the year doesnt do much for me either.

It would be different for LSU if we didn't exist in the most fertile recruiting pasture in the nation. There is enough talent in this state to compete for NCs season after season. Most of the talent is not being developed at the HS level and LSU struggles with finding the right guy to develop here and keep it here at the college level.
