Louisville, which has been just as good if not much better than us historically, just hired a head coach for less than we pay McMahon.

He makes an insane statement like 30mil when the highest paid coach in the SEC makes 7 and that’s 2nd nationally. The next 2 highest make 5.7.

You do realize that you have to set aside more money just one year's salary for a coach, right?

4 years, 5 million is 20 million
4 years, 7 million is 28 million

And that's current salary, you're going to have to overpay to get them to come to LSU, which has a reputation of not giving resources to MBB, even under Wade.

That’s the 2nd highest paid coach in the country. Again who are we going to hire for the amount you’re suggesting. How about you answer a fricking question about your idiotic statements instead of just moving to the next line of bullshite?

to clarify, yes you aren't only going to set aside the exact salary on a yearly basis, as there's room for bonuses and other possibilities. but i think it's foolish to say that you need the full amount of a contract set aside to sign it.

you don't just "hope and pray" that 7 million dollars will be there when it has to be paid out. You have to have that money committed. They didn't hire Kelly without knowing 10 million a year was committed and would be there the next 10 years.

Answer the question. What you’re saying doesn’t make a lick of sense.

that's why annual budgets are a thing, like i said.

however there's a bit of a contradiction there. you've mentioned before with kelly and even mcmahon we can't afford the buyout. yet you're stating now that we have all that money set aside to pay his contract out fully, so which is it?

99% if all teams aren’t hiring anybody for that much or even a million short of that much but this jerkoff keeps repeating the number like it’s a basic hire.

There's a huge difference between having money "set aside" and "committed".

I highly doubt they're parking 100 million in a savings account for BK's contract, but they know exactly where that money is coming from, when it's coming, and that you're not going to spend that money on something else.

Paying large buyouts throws all that math out of whack because you have to find the money for the new coaches, their buyouts, etc.

I never call for a coach to be fired. watching this team underperform this season is frustrating. If things continue like they are currently going, I will certainly celebrating the arrival of his replacement even more than I celebrated coach jones replacement

They're not waiting for an annual budget to find the money for seven and eight figure contracts
