Don’t waste any money on buyout. Use it on players for football and baseball

How so? With the tens of fans there to watch this garbage coupled with however much money we’re flushing down the toilet on McLoser?

Basketball is clearly the second best sport to watch when someone competent is running the show

We would do good just to have a solid basketball team with competitive SEC record on a consistent basis. We will never be elite in basketball but there is no reason we can’t have a decent program.

And 99.9%of the country doesn't give a single fluck about college baseball. A winner in men's basketball however.....

Define elite. There’s no reason why LSU can’t have a program on par with Tennessee, Alabama & Auburn who have been near the top of college basketball over the past 10 years. For whatever reason the LSU administration simply does not car about basketball.

Once/if they start winning they will.

There was a time when basketball was NUMBER ONE on campus during Dale's heyday, and our athletic department didn't even bother to print tickets to the baseball games.

Don't underestimate the mania that would ensue here if we make a Todd Golden type hire. Most LSU fans wouldn't be able to spell baseball if we ever hit on a hoops coach like that.

So you want to shite on a program with 8 national championships for a program that’s greatest accomplishment is making a final 4?

That’s just a sign of how sad LSU athletics were by having the underachieving basketball program as your prize possession

No I want to be good in the 2 sports that matter nationally.

We win the tallest midget trophy every time we add to the "intimidator." So what????

Why don't we pour cash into our tiddlywinks program??? I'm just dying to be great in that sport.

By the way, football is the "prized possession " at LSU. But basketball should be second like it is at every other major school.

Do you really believe that any other major school's fan base prioritizes baseball over basketball??? No they don't. And by the way, in revenue sharing, basketball gets 15% of the cash. Baseball is fighting with the other MINOR sports over the remaining 5%. AT LSU and everywhere else.

No but basketball still MAKES money for LSU & baseball doesn’t. It’s simply a good investment to be better at basketball
