You can give up the tickets, still go to games, save hundreds in the process, then easily pick those season tickets right back up when LSU eventually ends this waste of time.

You are missing the point. When Wade (or anyone else) is hired after next season, everyone will rush to buy seats. The best time to upgrade is before that. The worst case of renewing is that someone pays to retain/upgrade seats for one more year of this shitshow. When the rush to get tickets happens, those of us with low priority points won't get decent tix for the coach.

After the failed Simmons season I did not renew my season tickets. It wasn't out of any sort of protest. It was because I knew the following season would be a lame duck, poor season for Jones, and I could spend far less money on individual game tickets and pick my season tickets right back up after Jones was let go. That's exactly what I did...and even upgraded my seats!

That same stench of suck was there ahead of this season. So I did the same thing assuming McMahon would be let go at the end I would just repurchase the tickets. I didn't imagine LSU would consider keeping him on. But I guess I over-estimated how much LSU cares about the MBB program. However, even if Wade is rehired there will still be opportunity to get good season tickets. The local demand for basketball has been diminished to nothing, and while Wade would give the program an immediate shot in the arm, it won't be massive right away.

The downside of being a long time LSU basketball fan is that you have become pretty adept at quickly identifying bad coaches and a lack of interest from the fanbase...so you know the ticket market pretty well.

Just know that you are harming this program if he is retained and you renew.

Please expand on this brilliant comment. I honestly don’t know if you are a troll or just dumb.

As long as you keep lining up at the trough to pay for the shite they are shoveling, they will keep shoveling it. They only speak one language.

Hell I’m thinking of getting 2 tickets for me and my daughter. Can only make a few games but for what I spend to get close ( she likes to see mike), could be worth it.

With McSuck at the helm, I throw my renewal notice in the trash.

I sign the check with literally anyone else.

Money talks, BS walks....the LSU AD knows this, unfortunately, at LSU MBB is not counted on to be a revenue generating sport.
Just be patient and wait to see what happens after NC State is eliminated from March Madness.

Something should pop within a week or so after NCST loses.

Either WW is coming ( ) or McHallman is coming back for another season. ( )

I think you were looking at this backwards. They don’t have the money to jettison the coach now. I’m just helping to ensure they will have the money to get rid of him next year. Plus I love basketball.

Y'all must really be some poor MF'ers if you give up your tickets cause CMM isn't going anywhere.

They have made around 2 million a year with Mcloser Bama is making 9 mil a year. A coach with an actual pulse could easily get LSU to 7 -9 million a year big difference

With McMahon at the helm ANYONE on this board can buy a ticket for $6 - $8 and sit in the EXACT same seats.

Where were people buying tickets for $6-$8? I have very good seats and they went unsold for multiple SEC games when listed for that much on Seatgeek.

This will be the silver lining of him returning. All of you getting rid of your tickets, and I can move closer to the floor.

If McMahon stays you will be able to sit on the bench next to him, lol.

As long as mine is still $100 for the whole season I'm keeping them. At the very least I get to see a couple of good teams come in the PMAC.

On seat geek. Younpost is th evidence that seats were available in that price range. You are confusing lack of buyers with lack of available tickets. If anything, the fact that yours went unsold indicate that the real value is less than $6-$8.

Exactly.

Tickets were available for next to nothing and the crowds were STILL sparse (usually around 4k - 5k). There just weren't any buyers.

That will only get worse if McMahon is retained. No one will care enough to show up for the bad non-conf. schedule. No one will care if they perform well in the non-conf. schedule because everyone has seen that false hope before. People would MAYBE start to care by mid-late January. But McMahon will have 5, 6, 7 SEC losses by that point so they will just move on.
