Dude steps it up when the going gets tough. Outstanding Defense and can really get to the rim and finish. Clutch FT shooter as well.

Good analogy. Mays is the one player that we would have the most trouble replacing if he was unavailable. Waters has Smart to step in (as we have seen) and we have 2 starter quality bigs to step in if needed for Naz and KBW.

Losing Mays for an extended period of time who hurt tremendously.

Mays is the #1 guy on the team who should have the ball in his hands at the end of a close game.

At this point, I would go #2 Smart, #3 Waters.

Mays is our rock. Even when he was shooting like shite he still played tough as nails and managed to get points on the board.

He put the team on his back down the stretch and won us the game. His driving spin move layup at the end was a thing of beauty.

Remember his freshman year he could always get to the rim but couldn’t finish. Those days are OVER. His dunk earlier this year is underrated. Top 10 dunk in all of college ball this season.

When Mays broke Riley Norris ankles as Norris was getting up it looked like the bottom of his shoes had LSU colors and eye of tiger logo. Did they go to LSU locker room to get him a new pair of shoes? No way we would have seen it had Skylar not broken him down.

Remember when people wanted to bench him earlier in the season because his shot wasn’t falling? Man, that take hasn’t aged well
