Will LSU ever have a "Nick Saban" type of coach again?

He was a one in a generation coach, imv. We've been real fortunate at LSU. Bertman and Henry were, too.

I'll probably be dead before we get another "Saban." We needed to keep him when we had the chance.

Remind me again ... what was LSU supposed to do to "keep" him?

Doesn't Miles have a better record than Saban already, and the same # of national titles?

One that wins only 3/4ths of games (.750), goes 64 and 16 over 5 years, loses games to the likes of UAB, finishes 2 of his 5 seasons at LSU unranked, but to his credit does win 2 SEC championships and one NC, then screws LSU over by bolting for a higher-paying and debatably more-prestigious job after a pretty mediocre final season capped by a bowl loss to Iowa? Iowa??? And comes back to coach one of our rivals?!!!?
I hope not. LSU wouldn't find a coach like this acceptable.

I want championships and high end bowl games. I don't care what coach gets us there and how.

There a numerous exceptional football coaches in the United States, some discovered, some undiscovered. Of course LSU will once again have a great coach.

I hope so. A smart coach, DISCIPLINARIAN....a guy who gets pissed off on the sidelines, chews out players, and actually knows what the hell is going on...a guy who can master simple things like clock management.

As long as Saban is at Bama .... we are fricked.

I hated Little Nicky...but I'd take him back right fricking now...NO questions asked. $5MM per year...I'm ready to pony up my fair share.

dreaming for what you don't have is a good way to waste your life.

You're right, sir. But, it doesn't hurt to dream for 2 minutes on a Friday night while sippin' Beam and watchin' Entourage reruns, and flippin' Utah St's arse-whippin' of BYU.
