Maybe it’s something internal with the team?

Seems like the body language and demeanor of the team is pretty uninspired.

On paper we’re solid and our coaching staff is proven, so it’s difficult to pinpoint what exactly isn’t clicking.

But Johnson is elite and whether this season is a success or failure, he’s going to fix it. Every great coach in today’s college baseball has bad seasons and maybe this is one for Jay. But there is time

There’s a lot of confusion out there which can have an apathetic or disinterested look to it.

Will you come up with a mean nickname for Jay Johnson or no?

Nobody has stepped up to solidify the starting positions that are up for grabs. The few vets on the team have regressed.

or it could be that Johnson refuses to pull a pitcher when he knows damn well that he is struggling.

Maybe they're just playing bad. They were up like 1-0 in the 5th. They were up yesterday in the 9th.

Nah, he’s a great coach. Why would I scrutinize a proven winner?

I’m confident this will be a great team later in the season. Coach's process works.

This team doesn't have any leadership. It's a collection of talented players but no true alphas like Skenes and Crews. That's what it looks like to me.

You need guys that are going to hold people accountable but also lead by example. With that said it's tough to replace guys like Skenes and Crews because of everything beyond their talents they brought to the team.

But it's a long season still and a lot of time to figure things out and have guys step up. We knew these first 5 series were going to be rough and coming out .500 would be fine.

I was hoping Trav and Milazzo would step into that Beloso type leadership role

Tiger team lost a lot of leadership from last season. Might take this season to get the players to grow up. Might be another run to Omaha next season.

Whatever happens this season, I believe Jay will get it repaired for next year. Hard to repeat as champions when you lose first round draft picks plus Dugas and Morgan.
