He won’t. He knew our playbook and he held the ball too long all season. That’s what he does and that’s who he is. Enjoy your new bench warmer, fAggies.

It’s like the opposite of Rick Clausen.

Yeah sometimes they just suck no matter where they are or go.

don’t celebrate Max’s situation. I think we all knew he wasn’t likely to start there and he wasn’t likely to start here.

Yeah, I’m not tagging on him. Fwiw, I always thought Max played the game like he at least cared. That says something.

I just hate the free range, no restriction transfer rules.

That happens when the Defense Blitz’s every down because they know the QB holds the ball forever and that he can’t throw an accurate quick slant to save his life.

Max is terrible.

Do you think if he stayed at LSU he would be the starter this year?

Absolutely not. That’s why he & Daddy left.

He ultimately did us a favor. If he’s still here then Jayden Daniels most likely never comes and he’s in the mix to be our starter again because Kelly likes a guy with experience and mobility

Max is the most immobile “mobile” QB I’ve ever seen

Max gets the last laugh on LSU.
He may be third string, BUT he gets to live in College Station!

Word is that he has made tremendous improvement with the no-look, backwards, over the head toss up.

Mad at Max but not mad at a current LSU QB who also could have played but didn't

Max had his moments. He wasn't terrible, like some are claiming, but he never really shined outright. He was/is kind of a high floor, low ceiling kind of player. Watching those highlights, more than anything else I see an LSU defense that doesn't appear to know how to tackle. Maybe I've just repressed that, but damn, there were some really bad whiffs in that game. Hopefully they (that are still here from last year) have improved on that... significantly.

He left because several coaches reached out to his dad and told him that O had lost control of the program and I have the receipts to support this

O’s firing took place after Kentucky. He officially lost control of the program at that time. Johnson and his Dad knew there would be a new coaching staff no matter what

Max became a part of his brothers recruitment IMO. Nothing to do with O

The whole family got butthurt when Nuss was given a start.
