That's a little misleading.

- He had 4 passes that were stone cold drops

- He had a 50/50 ball to Boutte

- He had one throw away

- One bad pass on an RPO where the timing was off due to the back trying to pull the ball

I don't think it's misleading you can say the same for every QB in every game. Receivers are going to miss passes and 50/50 ball are what the names says they are 50/50 chance.

Nuss was 3 for 10 for 19 yards. I'd pump the brakes on wanting him as the starter just yet.

He can hit their hands, but he can't catch.

I'm not sure Nuss is good or not, but I have to hand it to the kid. I've never seen a QB that is trying to score on every play.

He got that Burrow swag.

The team will feed off of that.

We need Brennan back ASAP

I posted this in another thread last night, but over 20% of Brennan’s passing yards and over 25% of his TD’s last year came on passes >20 yards downfield between the hashes.

Since Brennan’s injury, Max Johnson has not attempted a pass >20 yards downfield between the hashes. (Neither has Nuss, but there’s obviously a limited sample size.)

This is a huge part of our offense that has been completely MIA since Brennan went down. It’s hard to say how much of this is due to coaching philosophy (Ensminger vs. Peetz) and how much is due to lack of trust in the young QB’s. But we need it back IMO.

Oh he will be far from the only one. You guys haven't been paying attention to how this all works.

For the record, I really like Bech, but he's not really a TE.

(nothing is going to stop that train)

We probably would lose a few commits, but it’s not like every team that fired their HC experienced a mass exodus of their best players.

The fact is the players are all just going to follow O to Bama like you think/hope they will.

Also frick you, idk who’s jersey Ricks is supposed to be wearing in your photo.

For the recruiting class its usually a disaster, which is why Ed was hired. Smooth transition. Its by fair the norm to have a disaster in recruiting.

As far as current players, it depends but there are new rules which weren't there before... instant eligibility.

People associate the portal to either second string players or players that are playing out of their level. However, with the new rules... the good and great players now have a marketplace.

The instant eligibility changed the game.

The rules were there last season and most teams didn’t lose every good player on their roster even if they fired their coach.

Also, I want Jake Johnson, but if that means marrying ourselves to Max as a starter regardless of how Nuss or Walker look down the road, we need a backup plan.

I am Also OT calling for a QB change right now.

Nuss may not start next week or the week after but Nuss has passed Max already. Coach O knows it, he is just too scared Max will transfer if he starts Nuss.

The sad thing is Nuss' ceiling is much higher than Max's ceiling. It looks like Max is stuck at that moment and doesn't know how to take the next step up in QB play.

Tennessee had a mass exit, that probably won't happen at LSU but now the top players have a marketplace. Which is why you see To'o playing for Bama. Its going to be a market for the best players now as they are instantly eligible.

LSU has more top players, those will have a market to Bama i.e. young DL.

I’m no worries about Smith, Roy or Guillory. I think When you sell the in state kids on playing for the jn state teams can survive the transistor better.

BJ if he doesn’t like the New staff could be a loss.

I also Worry about Ricks, just because he’ll be a hot commodity, but LSU also has a great DB reputation and we’ll likely keep his position coach.

I would be worried about the 3 DL, those guys are the real deal.

Saban always has his ways, we'll see.

I'm not saying anything particular is 100% going to happen, however, its easy to see how it might happen.

As far as LSU, the way this is being done... See ya sometime in 2025 and it could get very ugly.

You keep Complaining about the way things are being done, what specifically don’t you like besides O being fired (if he is)

If you're making plans behind people's back and are not fully committed, I would say you're not operating in good faith.

If I believe these people and what they say is already in the works, I think the administration is low class.

Coaching staff needs to retract everything they told Max this year:
"Max, do not scramble or run"
"Max, Throw only the short pass"
"Geaux Tigers"

I dont Think O being on the hot seat is unknown to him.

I also Don’t think he’ll get fired if he pulls things together and wins a good amount of games.

That’s every job in the country. You start to underperform you can assume you’re going to get replaced.

When O fricked up the coaching hires last year, Woody bailed him out and bought out E and Pelini. He busted out the checkbook for Freeman, and made offers to O’s protege. He didn’t for the MSU DC on O because the 3-3 he runs isn’t a fit.

So I don’t believe there has been any bad faith on Woody’s part.

Tennessee was a shite show, but they have also been a shite show since like 2007.
