Let's don't fly by that stat and let's ask the question why was Nuss able to throw downfield more in one quarter than Max in two games. It is because he isn't locked into a one position collapsing pocket. Nuss breaks out of the pocket creating room and time to thro downfield. For this reason alone, I have to go with playing Nuss more than just cleanup. We aren't going to have many cleanup opportunities, so I would like him inserted in the heat of the games. This is all because of our impotent Oline play. No QB can operate in a pocket behind these guys. LSU must a creator at the QB position to have a winning offense the rest of this year imho.

Couple of second string QBs when given a chance: Tom Brady and Jeaux Burrow.

Nuss has phenomenal pocket awareness that is way beyond his years. He can also move the pocket and extend plays.

You just can’t teach that, and he’s going to have the longest NFL career of any QB on the roster.

Apparently, he also throws a very droppable ball, though.

If you're making plans behind people's back and are not fully committed, I would say you're not operating in good faith.

Has Orgeron been operating in good faith? He won the natty, got a raise and extension, and then realaxed his work ethic and began chasing tail. That's good faith?

If I was AD, I would always have a top 3 list for football, baseball and basketball. In a case like this, where it's looking like the coach will probably be replaced, I'd start talking to them.

When I fire the coach, I'd announce the new coach within two weeks.

Initislky I thought Nuss threw downfield because he wasn’t reading coverages, things were a blur, and way over the top is the safest place to throw.

He looked like a rookie playing his first game.

Pretty obvious to me that Nuss is a gamer and will be faar more explosive than Max, when he's ready.

He needs playing time every game.
