We still can’t run the ball. Too many WRs drops, we have no offensive identity, the offense lacks consistency, defense still allowing big plays.

CEO better fix it before MSU!

The fact is we can’t run the ball, and that isn’t going to be fixed. We need to accept that and find a potential solution

And Johnson is a Qb that simply doesn’t have the skill set to makeup for a poor running game and be an elite playmaker himself.

A realist will say the entire team is pretty bad

Joe wasn’t winning a Heisman with this offense. Picture him without Chase, Jefferson, Moss and Clyde, Brady and Aranda.

Blaming this shitshow on Max is plain stupid.

Need to find ways to manufacture runs and easy yards.

End around and jet sweeps.
Fake a screen and go. Mullen does this to perfection.

Where are the easy rpo's?You can rise up and throw an out route for an easy 8 yards.

The non use of rpo's is mind boggling. Another thing they can do it just throw it out to the receiver when the cbs are playing off. Burrow was great at this.

Nuss is better.

If you want the offense to improve, you need a playmaker. Max isn't.

What about before Central Michigan?

if you're going to be honest about all of that, you should at least throw in Max's issues. he can't make progressions, holds the ball too long frequently, hangs the ball in the air too long, throws the ball into the dirt, occasionally flings the ball without looking

Im not putting the blame on him. I’m simply saying Johnson isn’t a QB that can makeup for offensive deficiencies. He doesn’t have legs and he doesn’t have an electric arm.

There is not ONE problem and arguing about the hierarchy of issues or trying to break it down into this or that is pointless

The OL can't be fixed. It's quite possibly the worst I've ever seen at LSU. No OL, no offense.

He kind of is though. No one has to worry about a pass being thrown further than 25yds down field. It’s the same shite we had to endure with the last 3-4 years of Drew Brees. We’ve seen this movie and know how it ends.

Nuss's passes looked better, and he atleast moved his feet after the snap.

I actually feel like the running game can improve if we bench TDP and have more run plays to the outside instead of just running up the middle every time

Yes he is. I’m not down on Max, nor am I saying he won’t develop, but he is not polished yet. He is late on reads, and he is throwing when he’s not set. If he gets his feet under him, he is accurate and puts a lot of velocity on his throws. His lack of command is causing him to be behind on his reads.

Those clamoring for the backup are being foolish. He would have even worse problems with a lack of command. There is nothing to do but get through this.

Nuss at least have them a chance to drop them. A couple of them were in very tight coverage, but catchable. I think his mobility and pocket awareness are what we need to help a struggling O line.
