pre-arrogance vs. post-arrogance is my entire point, but i know you have figured this out already

showing your confidence after you've done something is chicken shite. The football team could take some lessons. They should fricking shoot confetti off before the game and hold up newspapers right after introductions.

@Rouge

I dont have time to read the last 3 or 4 pages, but i will agree to some extent that the "game over" on the board may be a bit too much. in no way do i think the music is over the top though. the music gets people pumped (if not heading towards the exit ) and its all part of the game.

its such a small thing who cares players need to be confident and i believe borderline cocky and i see no problem with it at all everyone knows he will blow a save here and there but its for the kid and doesn't really matter

If the other team is thinking about how pissed they are that "game over" is flashing on the scoreboard then I guess they're not focusing on the game...they have bats in their hands so they can do something about it...good luck

Good God Almighty!!! I have seen some lame-arse posts on this board before, but this one, really, takes the cake.

Rouge, you're worried because seeing some stupid slogan on a Jumbotron is going to give hitters extra motivation when they face the guy who is arguably the best closer in college baseball?

All I have to do is look at your sig pic to know that you need to grow a set.

What's next? Not have the band play after a touchdown? Don't bring Mike into the stadium in his rolling pen? Maybe we should't keep score, because the other team might get its feelings hurt if they see that they're losing in big, bright numbers on the scoreboard.

Here's an idea: get rid of the cheerleaders, because they might upset someone from the other team.

Matty Ott steps on the foul lines intentionally before the game. Because the game already over when he arrives.

Rouge, Have you ever met Matty? Well, I have. He's the most level-headed, humble, non-attention seeking kid you'll ever meet. The PR people put together the videos, the players have nothing to do with them. As far as the song choice, I highly doubt he chose it. So lay off the kid. And get a life.

here's how much you know...

1. Matty Ott did not pick his song, a manager did, because Matty didn't have a song he wanted, they picked it for him.
2. Matty asked CPM to not play the video when he comes out because MATTY didn't really care for it.

so bash or dislike whoever you want if you chose to do so, but again matty had nothing to do with the song choice or video.

Do you have a problem when a team puts their hands in the middle and says "WIN" on the field before pre-game? I do. That shite is arrogant.

Rouge never attacked Ott in the op, but the people responsible for putting "Game Over" on the jumbotron.

read the thread

this was not an attempt to get onto him personally.

please correct others in this thread that said it was his choice alone

his freaking nickname is "matty ice" and his job as a closer is to most definitely get the "game over" with.

man this thread is lame.
