So Matt Rhule just got fired... The domino effect of that guy taking an NFL job can never be overstated. Just saying.

I think Aranda and Brady were out anyway.

And honestly, it expedited the inevitable with Orgeron.

Would he like to teach our QB to throw a deep pass?
Since he’s available…

I wouldn't go that far. Brady was already the de facto OC at LSU. He was now going to be paid as such in 2020. The question is would any other NFL teams hired him as their OC? If not, he would have remained at LSU.

Aranda never had a strong ambition to be a HC. If the Baylor job doesn't come open, does he go elsewhere? I'm not 100% sure. Though I do know Ed wasn't terrible heartbroken he left because Aranda's departure allowed Ed the opportunity to implement his fan-fiction defense and show the world just how great a football mind Orgeron really possessed.

He won't need that. Multiple P5 teams would hire him today if he wants it.

Both Nebraska and Auburn would probably do it today.

Nothing would have been inevitable had we kept Brady and Aranda. Or even just one of them.

We would have kept rolling.

I wouldn't touch the Nebraska job. The recruits of today weren't even born when Nebraska was a dominant national force. They're irrelevant to today's players.

Recruiting enough talent to Nebraska isn't possible today.

He’s a good coach. Just better suited for college. If Auburn can get out of its own way, I’d see him having success there. Then again that’s the case with damn near any coach down there.

He rebuilt Baylor. He can turn Nebraska around.

He would be scary at Auburn. The question is, would he even want that job with the boosters and SEC West to deal with. He will likely have his choice of any P5 opening this year.
