He, nor his coaching staff laid down the law and taught basic defensive principles. Defense wins championships and Wade couldn’t teach that.

I agreed with that until....LSU finished as a top 5 team in NATION in defensive efficiency in 2022. For a large portion of the year they were #1.

No need to turn this into an inevitable Wade v McMahon debate. But if you are, at least use accurate information

He stopped while leaving the court at Vanderbilt to give my daughter a hug and take a picture with her. Talked with us a bit. High fived some other kids and parents.

I’d say you’re not getting the full context and are coming up with blind assumptions. You never know what’s on somebody’s mind while they are walking around in their office

Saban would rip your head off if you told him good morning while he was enjoying his Little Debbie snack cake.

No one has forgotten because fanboys like you that think he’s the second coming of John Wooden and can’t go a day without circle jerking him won’t let us

All you need to know is what if it was reversed and it was Kim Mulkey walking in the hall at a Matt McMahon camp? I am quite certain that she would greet each person that she passed in the hall.

I guarantee you that Mulkey says hello to all the kids and parents she runs across at CMM's camp.
Really? I don't picture Mulkey as the warm and fuzzy type. I bet she avoids campus unless she has to.

I have bumped into him on campus and around town a few times.. I tend to be a quiet person but my wife can have a conversation with a brick wall.. he never starts the conversation but once my wife opens the conversation I have found him extremely polite.. friendly and a likable person..I would have just walked by him quietly also…. Not sure if I heard him correctly but thought he mentioned practices were open and to drop by….????

Probably just a quiet guy by nature ?

I have walked past KM at pmac while there for other reasons.. she walked by quietly.. but I did not start a conversation.. she is busy and respects other people’s space also.. but just like CMM.. if you say hello ( and yes my wife will) or open the conversation she is also polite..friendly and a likable person ..and will engage a conversation.

They are at work and busy.. and respect others space..

Fwiw.. they are both excellent people imo ..

seems like a lot to ask for a guy to start a conversation with every passerby.

by all accounts he is a very nice guy.

other coach that many have forgotten that used to ride around campus on a golf cart and give regular students rides to class while he chit chatted with them

Les did this with Coeds all the time, and all it led to was trouble!

He was an all-talk-politician, égoïste and narcissist. He is in the dustbin of history. Thank goodness.

Saban didn't say good morning to that one staff for years until the day the kid didn't say it

Edit - that said Saban is a douche
