Buffalo Nickels were coined years ago… so he’s using the word Buffalo to call the D.
I also think it might be using 3 safeties and 2 corners. That way one of the safeties could play in the box, giving you 7 to defend the run

Did he say why our receivers beat dat arse.

WRs are the strongest part of our team while secondary may be the weakest part. Luckily our own WRs might be the toughest that the secondary faces all season.

My biggest fear is that the pass rush gets pressure/sacks but the secondary still gives up 2nd/3rd and longs regularly anyway to erase that.

Matt House gonna get these boys right

I'm very impressed with Coach House so far. And I have confidence it will translate to the field.
I've got high hopes for this staff and these players.
Seems like the players are starting to see how badly they have needed accountability and structure.

Have a feeling Harold Perkins could be an X factor for the defense. Throw him on the edge to blitz with our big boys taking up space and it’s over. Very excited to see it

The reason for lower projections is this:

Very little starting SEC experience on the entire team, including on special teams(kickers). I would luv 10 wins but would be very surprised….

Certainly Baskerville has come a long way since his freshman year when he was often out of position.

Should be one of the top linebackers in the conference.

Those dbs are fine . Kelly doesn’t seem worried even a little bit and he’s the type that would tell you if he was. You got 5 or 6 corners I can think of off the top of my head that would be ok to start

Okie state kid big arse
Garners big arse
Banks who has tape as a starter that performed well at osu
Frosh Welch is talented
McGhee maybe hurt I think
Raydar wasn’t terrible
The Richardson kid is showing out
Obviously we’ve got plenty of safeties too
Hell joe Foucha won’t even start and he’s not bad at all

On offense I think that we can move the ball easily if we’re patient. Remember how Peetz wasn’t patient? We gotta be patient and throw the screens and hitches , zone read, rpo , that stuff
You can get 3 or 4 yards a play with that stuff and if it’s jd then they will have to play some zone or we will just tell him to take off when the Defense turns their backs to us.

Remember the 2020 game against South Carolina that was Finleys first start. He went 17-21 just doing the quick passing game. That was probably the best offensive gameplan I’ve seen an o coordinator make and then execute with his play calls.
Ensminger had him so comfortable. Just do that type shite and mix in qb run then take your deep shots.

This years about the yac
