He didn't even pay 2 games worth of minutes last year(and it wasn't just because he was hurt), unless he's tearing it up in practice him starting can't be good.



Does this force Stringer to start at the 2? Or does Issac have to start because Stringer is too short against most 2's? I guess Courtney could start by default.

jesus christ man. another horrible season on the horizon and we can get rid of trent. Then we can go hire a coach that can recruit talent, develop it, and get it to stay here. Alleva please invest some good money in the fricking basketball program!

Alleva is proving that he lived off predecessor and Coach K's success at Duke.

Nothing about this guy instills confidence in me that LSU is going on the right track as an athletic program as a whole. Add in the fact that Les' contract extension is ridiculous. Add to that the pathetic scheduling of Towson game for football next season.

Why did we up Alleva's salary again? Why didn't we let UTenn take him?

This is a lose lose situation for the Athletic Department. We schedule good OOC games (UNC last year, UO this year) but they are at a neutral site so we don't have to travel to either of the schools and fans bitch about the lack of home games, we schedule rent-a-wins that we get to play at home and people bitch about not scheduling good opponents. Not defending Alleva here, just stating what I see. I am not impressed with the man either and wish he would have left and LSU would have let him.

There are tons of D1 schools you can schedule and not have to pay them a return trip.

What in the hell is wrong with Alleva? This is absolutely frigging ridiculous......at this point tulane probably has a better program than we do. Under Johnsons watch we have gotten progressively worse, and there doesn't seem to be any indications he will be taking us to the tournament anytime soon. I'm all for giving the guy time, but if he doesn't at least have us on the bubble for the big tournament this year, he needs to be run out of town on a rail, end of story.
