While that may be true, Coach O hired him on the premise that he would let Canada run his offense. No more then 3 games into the season, the Coach who talks like us began meddling in Canada's offense so much that Alleva had to tell O to back off and let Canada do his thing.
But Meddlin' O had to let Canada know whose boss. HE'S the head coach, Brennan WILL NOT play because it wasn't the head coach's idea. We're gonna do what Meddlin' O wants.
Even though Canada may be a head case, the offense did improve this season. And he wanted to give Brennan more reps. But Meddlin' O wasn't going to let his OC dictate what to do. This is HIS team. He felt Canada didn't deserve another year with Brennan as full time QB. Any head coach who is secure with his job title would have put his ego aside and given Canada another shot with the QB he wanted to play in the first place.

Please stop with this horse shite. Canada came in at his presser, singing his “build system around players” song.. and proceeded to implement the same exact offense we saw at his last two schools.

When Brennan got put in the games he did play in, he looked erratic. Like a deer in head lights. Dude averaged a pick every 6 attempts. He wasn’t the answer and may not be next year.

O hired Canada with the premise he would not meddle and let Canada run his offense. Canada's offense improved this season, so why shouldn't have Canada been given another shot to see what he can do with Brennan? Because O couldn't get along with him? Seems a little petty.

Yes because it was very smart to pay Canada $1.7 million to not coach next year because O can't get along with him, and end up hiring the interim OC who didn't want the position to begin with. That's some great decision making. If you think that's good leadership, then you are the moron.
