Not surprising. Skyler was an afterthought to Miles and under- or misutilized in various ways under Elmer Fudd.
Alley was never the same after his preseason injury in Miles first year.

Wasn’t this one of the knocks on DiNardo as well.
I heard a story when DiNardo was coaching here. There was a young man who was being recruited by a number of schools who happened to be the son of a former player. DiNardo just out of the blue sent him a letter telling he wasn’t good enough to play at LSU.
He ended up signing with an out of state school and had a good career and got a good education.
From my perspective, not keeping former players involved in some way is just plan dumb.

Link?

Or some kind of tangible proof this is anything other than bullshite straight out of the 23rd chapter of your imagination?

Maybe as the head coach he wanted his own opinion of each guy and didn’t really care what his predecessor thought. Then he went out and won a NC with those saban players as a lot of people on this board point out.

So just to be clear, assuming this is true, Alley and Skyler are fake arse fans that wanted LSU to lose and should have been called out and harassed every time Miles did something positive because they were not fans of the coach and thought there were better options, right?

A completely biased and unfounded criticism of Miles, shocking.

Skyler Green:
2004: 24 rec 219 4 carries 14 yards
2005: 32 rec 268 16 carries 126 yards

I believe Perrillioux and Sheppard wore same number. #11 I specifically remember old Verne being surprised that Perrillioux was playing defense

O is a Pete Carroll clone at this point in his career. What he learned at SC is immeasurable. Live in the past if you choose, dude knows WTF he is doing now.

It's really sad to see the amount of hate for CLM from so-called LSU fans. The man is a class act and was a very good coach. Just because he couldn't get over the hump against Saban (and what coach does?), some people constantly try to defame him. It's bizarre.

Lots of people had the same numbers during the Miles years. For example, in 2011 the punters (Wing & DJ Howard) both wore 38. The kickers (Alleman & Hairston) wore 30. Ego & JJ both wore 9. Etc.

Any supporting evidence for any of this whatsoever?

Not only that, but can you picture Saban, once he had accepted the Miami offer, taking time away from his new gig in order to make notes for his replacement?
Yes, I can. Saban always demonstrated tremendous support for his players. That is probably why they are extremely loyal to him. He helped them max out their college potential and then did what he could to place them in the pros (often through the Belichik connection). Just ask people like Randall Gay.

I'd like to interject for all the "Saban is in it for Saban" crowd that Miles MORE THAN ONE TIME held LSU hostage with bullshite rumors of him "going to Arkansas" and shite like that. Business is business. frick him.

And I have no doubt that Orgeron's career achievements will eclipse Miles's.

The future is bright for LSU football.

I'm thinking Saban already had notes on all his players because that's what an anal meticulous planner like him would do. All he had to do was hand it over.

I'll take Les Miles' public behavior, win or lose, over that a-hole Saban's behavior any day of the week. CLM has more class in his thumb than Saban has in his whole 5'6" frame.
