We're already headed in that direction, so why not take a chance of pulling out of it.

I agree with OP. This is short sighted. If not Jimbo, who? (And I'm not of the Jimbo-is--the-answer crowd.) Who will want to go where the coach of the #2 team just over two weeks ago, who was the winningest coach in school history, who has the #1 recruiting class for 2016 lined up, is fired ruthlessly?

I'm prepared for this to become a big disaster...bigger than this seasons collapse. Alleva. Say it again. You know it. Alleva.

It seems pretty obvious that they have reached an agreement with Jimbo and its just a matter of parting ways with Miles at this point.

They wouldn't be leaking all this shite and getting the ball rolling if they didn't already have someone locked up.

So if Les stays, our offense is magically better, our OL starts to block, our QB problems go away, our offensive approach suddenly evolves while our defense instantly gets better over night, the DL gets better, the LBs, though freshmen, make all the plays, and our secondary no longer gives up gobs of yards?

Damn in that case, let's keep Miles right where he is right now.

I didn't read all that shite because once you started talking about why those DC's didn't come here, I knew right away you have no clue what you are talking about. Those DC's did not come to LSU because of fricking JOB SECURITY. What is happening right now was bound to happen sooner or later and those guys knew it.

Let me give you some insight into the 2 programs you mentioned.

USC was put on probation. Fewer schollies means the less talent.

Texas...the last few years of Mack Brown he had horrendous recruiting and got passed up by Baylor and TCU. Texas used their Junior Day to sign kids early and never really went after kids who didn't sign early.

Texas let Mack hang around too long and tried that Coach in waiting bullshite.

You're afraid if we get rid of Miles the program will sink into mediocrity. Where do you think we are now?

LSU is bigger than Les Miles. Will we take some lumps? Most likely. Any team transitioning a culture and system will. Does the program need a change? Absolutely. I don't understand the narrative that Les Miles somehow has LSU so gripped by the balls that we are eternally fricked if we let him go?

Newsflash buddy. We have already sunk into the abyss. 3 straight losses by double didgets hasn't happened here since the 60's, and we have had some pretty shitty teams since then. Miles no doubt has done some great things here, but it's time for a change. His teams just aren't improving as the season goes on anymore.

Could work both ways. It could rain championships or we could be sent to the sunbelt.
