He was the reason LSU football was pulled from the ashes. He singlehandedly made us get a real football coach.

Since then, we’ve had Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam and they both get outfoxed by Buggs Bunny.

I don’t care if we were being used, I liked it.

I agree completely on the sentiment. This program cannot take another step until you change at the very very top. Normally I would say just the AD, but it has been proven as long as Alleva rakes in the cash and maintains as one of the only profitable departments in the country F King is not firing him and he knows it.
I do not normally like firing the Chancellor/Prez for athletic reasons as it sends a bad message as an academic institution, but at this point his decisions as an administrator have been equally as bad and questionable at best. When did it become the mission to make LSU the SJW university of the SEC. From the entrance scores, to fraternities, Alleva's blank checks, and not swinging a big dick to the state legislature as it pertains to cuts is hurting this university.

I don't necessarily agree, but that is some funny shite right there.

It was a BIG mistake not giving Saban what he wanted to stay. The miser pays twice.

He was leaving no matter what, he has even said as much he said no to the Dolphins twice and we matched. Wayne Heuzinga or whatever, Blockbuster boy was not taking no for answer, he got full control and was one of the highest paid coaches in NFL history. If he did not take that job the NFL probably would have shut him out for good. I have no problem wanting to try to be the greatest in your given profession at the highest level.

He would have come back to LSU afterward. LSU has losers at the top. Simple as that.

We totally should have gone without a head coach while Saban was still sewing his oats in the NFL.

How was LSU supposed to compete with Wayne Hizinga (sp)? If it was only about money, LSU never stood a chance. Losing Saban was gonna happen at some point.

Not getting him back was where we missed out.

Do you realize how stupid this is?

LSU was supposed to fire a coach that was 22-4 and had won the west once to hire saban back?

Sure if everyone knew saban would win all the NC’s from 09 forward LSU would have done it but saban’s ‘03 team had gotten super lucky to be in that NC. Then he left.

Get over.
