Hummm Jerry Dinardo acually had the ship righted. He did a excellent job of recruiting as well. His big screw up was Lou Tepper.

Tepper wasn't the head coach. Dinardo signed three all american quarterbacks. Who was the offensive coordinator. Hell he had Craig Nall playing WR with Josh Reed sitting on the bench. The ship was sinking and headed for the rapids and he refused to change course. He developed QBs much like Miles.

Agreed, but our alumni shouldn't promote it as a joke, either.
You guys dont realize how scripted those shows are. The producer came up with that analogy I'd bet.

I am not a big fan of spears [ he was a great LSU player though ] I would rather him be bias than the the turn coat he is ! what he means by this opinion depends on what he thinks of the Browns and I don't know. ,

No that happened in 2011 when Nick publicly executed Les in front of the college football world and turned us into their little bitch.

Meh... That loss was tough, but 2013 was the one that built Bama into an unstoppable beheamoth in the minds of LSU players, coaches and fans.

Specifically, if Copeland doesn't fumble in the end zone and cost us a TD at the end of a half when Bama had no answer for our offense, I would almost guarantee we win that game, and quite possibly 2014 and 2016 as well.

The second half of the 2013 Bama game is when our team stopped competing in the series.

Danny Etling won't make anyone forget about Bert Jones, but if LSU didn't already have the rep as a terrible QB school, he'd be widely considered as a good not great QB.

I never have understood the 'Danny is a bad QB' narrative.

I'll take 60% completions and an 8-1 TD-to-INT ratio any day.

He put up those numbers under arguably the worst OC at LSU since Crowton or Stud (a case can be made that Canada was even worse than them) - especially when looking at total yards, rushing yards, YPP and YPC.

I'm curious about the kind if numbers Etling would have had throwing to Jarvis and OBJ circa 2013.

Frankly, I don't care what you or anyone else says because I'm still going back to that magic place "LSU Tiger Stadium."

The color, excitement, friendship, and pride keep making us all glad just to be alive watching the LSU football team being the undog to the other great SEC giants. "That the bigger they are the harder they fall."

The Maryland saga remains one of the most interesting story lines to me in college football because it seems a lot of LSU fans think that Canada is a terrible OC. I think we find out a lot about that this year if he remains as head coach over there.

A school that has won at least 8 games every year so far this millennium is nothing like the Browns.

In the stat that matters, Canada's 27.2ppg has been bettered by every OC this century.

In fairness, he only had one season, and as disclaimer 2017 scored more ppg than 2000, 2002 and 2009.

You mention Studs, alo OC a single season, skulldrug Canada in ppg and actually owns one of LSU's Top 5 all time scoring offense (TDs rush and pass only).

The ship wasn't sinking, the talent was there. Did DiNardo make mistakes? Yes. But it was far from sinking.... Saban won a NC with that talant.
