miles has more title game appearances than o has seasons with more than 2 sec wins.
scored 0 points against bama
and lost at home to a 14 point underdog that was missing 6 starters.
yeah thats totally different and better than the previous regime
I don't understand how anyone could argue this. All of this is factual.
Some people like Miles, some don't, and that's fine but when you look at what Miles did at LSU, the performance started slipping and he was fired, O was hired to sustain, not rebuild the success Miles had (O has said this himself. He knows the expectations) and that has not happened. We've actually gotten worse, recruiting has slipped, the actual win/loss record, how we've looked for games- I just don't understand how anyone can argue that it's better, or even the same, which is why O was hired, at least that's what we were all lead to believe from Alleva.
It's nuts. 9-4 is somehow better than 9-3 now.

So its like, LSU fans got to fricking vote on O.

Lildickdaddy, you can always find you in a thread sucking off Miles. He got fired moron, get over it!
Never forget that Miles once scored 0. He scored 0 in the big game with everybody watching. That was the beginning of the end....it was when he was exposed and everybody got see how great he really was. He's gone, it's gone soft and you can take it out of your mouth now, you f'n tard.

LOL Miles and that team had nothing left to prove; they had already beaten everyone, so stop harping on that ridiculous espn exhibition.

If O can ever make it to any kind of championship game, then bring this up. Until then, this comparison makes as much sense as the comparison of O and Saban.

And are you seriously going to say that Orgeron hasn't been exposed in his losses this past year and the hiring process of Canada? That just two examples.
I didn't even like Miles as a head coach and I'm willing to give Orgeron another shot this year (mainly because I don't have a choice). But, the comparisons you're making are silly.

“ never forget that miles”
Is the only head football coach in LSU history to take two LSU teams to a national championship game.
We should also remember that he has had nothing to do with LSU football for almost 2 yrs.

Better recruit some more bots Derek. Your minions aren’t propping up the votes in this thread.

The offense is a pro-style attack, but one of its strongest elements is a hurry-up, multi-receiver package where the quarterback reads just one person – maybe an inside linebacker or deep safety – before the firing the ball. Play-action off of zone rushing is another key element, and deep balls off of bootlegs are a significant piece of the scheme, too.
quote:
Coaches have studied “a lot of what the Saints are doing” as well, he said, again indicating a spread-type offense that relies heavily on quick and intermediate passing and scatbacks in the backfield.
So you want me to believe a team that’s spent the last decade running a slightly more complex version of a peewee offense with some of the poorest QB play in NCAA history is going to suddenly institute two of the most complex schemes in the nfl one of which is run by arguably the greatest offensive statistical QB to ever play the pro game?
I mean, you might as well tear Sabans statue down in Tuscaloosa.
Come on folks. Temper your expectations.

All of those coaches and players are gone. New coaches and new quarterback. What those players and coaches did really has nothing to do with this upcoming year.
Now, if you want to argue that the new coaches and players haven't done this before and you want to temper expectations because of that, then I'm in total agreement.
Eta: Saying they "haven't done this before" was a poor choice of words. It's been a while since Ensminger has been an OC and he's building a new offense with an inexperienced QB.

Most of his current players were either in diapers or fetus the last time Steve assembled an offensive scheme from scratch.
And downvote all you want. But anyone that believes that LSU will suddenly become an offensive juggernaut to rival the success of the New Orleans Saints because “We comin” is delusional on a level that I can’t even fathom.

Ooooh wow.
That’s just like a hack writer who makes a living writing ad copy for the grocery stores saying:
“I’m going to write a novel and it’s going to be a bestseller and win a Pulitzer ... I’ve been reading Ernest Hemingway!”

There is no way that Tiger Ree is not a p.r. rep for Orgeron. No unpaid sane person would fawn over a coach as Ree does.

Did Miles get blanked or not against Alabama? Miles got blanked with all eyes on the program.
I'm not comparing O vs Miles. I'm stating the fact that Les got blanked also....in the NC game.

Miles had the team ready like it was an exhibition game

And choked in the big game vs Bama in which we scored 0 points. Miles managed to score 3 FGs in two games vs. Bama

And WON one of those games. Now it's not enough to beat Bama, but we're complaining about how many points were scored?
