If we met all of needs then why is Coach Yaw Yaw moving WRs to CB? Doesn't that pretty much admit that he didn't fill all of the needs with this "elite" recruiting class?

Maybe they're trying to get the best athletes on the field. Not likely Netherly would crack the lineup at wide out.

Did you whine like a little bitch when Saban moved Jack Hunt and Corey Webster to defense? Or when he moved devery Henderson and Josh Reed to receiver?

College players change positions sometimes.

Good to see. Some had him as a possible transfer due to depth at WR. Athletic kid willing to change positions to see the field and help the team instead bolting. Hope he does well

You're missing the point. Lyin' Ed has fooled you once again. No fricking way Netherly moves to CB if Surtain or Goodrich came.

Instead he's moving a true safety in Joseph and a WR in Netherly to CB. You will accept it as gospel when he says that this was the plan all along. We missed out on Surtain because we had our CB in Netherly there all along.

They don't add 2" to every player dude. That's ridiculous. Fyi, football players that are at the level of LSU are larger than normal individuals...in a lot of cases much larger and a lot stronger. They're freaks. These guys that are listed are really that big in most cases. They may fudge numbers for certain players but most of them are really just that big and are physical specimens. I have seen some of them up close when they're walking into the stadium, and they're a lot bigger than me, and I'm 6'1". So by your fricked up logic, a player that is really 6"6 would be listed as 6'8", etc. Come on now.

I can buy that. So if we have a depth issue at corner are we supposed to just say frick it and give up?

This move should be praised. They're at least attempting to address the matter.

Not getting either cb sucked but we have to move on and do what we can with who we have on the roster.

Or just cry about it and do nothing like you would.

Yeah. It means the CB depth at LSU sucks. Now read that back.

Again would you prefer they not attempt to address the issue? No one should complain about this move.

Probably. So he can bitch about them not addressing the need.. either way some folks are gonna bitch and moan, it's just how it is.

1) Netherly won’t be missed on offense. He was never gonna play.

2) like powerman said, it’s addressing a need. We all wish we would have gotten one of the CBs we recruited but we didn’t. Now we take those lemons and try to make lemonade.

Saying that this is a good move in no way shape or form let’s O off the hook for the reason this move was necessary.

Also regarding Joseph, just because he plays CB this year doesn’t mean he can’t move to safety later on when we have better depth.

This is what these guys are listed at one LSU’s website

Darrell Williams 6'1" 229
Christian Lacouture 6'5" 292
Greg Gilmore 6'4" 308
DJ Chark 6'4" 198

They added 2” to both of the offensive players & 1” to the defensive guys. This happens every year

Netherly is not 6’3”

Would be a huge corner at 6’3 195

Yesss.

Pretty much the main reason I wanted Goodrich. I love the idea of having huge corners. Obviously there was a reason he wasn't recruited as a corner, but guys have made the switch in the past. Corey Webster obviously, but a guy like Richard Sherman too. Not saying he will be that good, but if he can make the transition, that would be awesome.

Right. But that violates the maximum melt playbook rules.

We don't know how it will turn out but I'm glad they are thinking outside the box to address the issue.
