“ he just left a couple up in the zone”. Yea right. Both were home runs. And another in the third. Three innings, three homers. I’ve supported our coach, but man I don’t know. I do t know how he is still in the game. 6-2. Bases loaded. Third inning. No one in bullpen???? Damn. Maybe when it’s 10-2 he will do something

Aight y’all can’t criticize him for that after you kill him for throwing players under the bus.

Threadgill is in the bullpen.

And PM isn’t wrong; Hilliard was pitching just fine except for three mistakes left up in the zone that Arkansas jumped on.

It's the 3rd inning and th bullpen is bare. Pitchers have to stretch innings

I’ve never criticized him before, for anything (I don’t think), maybe when I’m drinking, I don’t remember. Something is off. No fire. No excitement. Maybe they turn it around. I hope so

So, now we're getting upset when he doesn't throw the player under the bus. What's he supposed to say??

So when Walker threw one bad pitch paul said that cost us the game but Hilliard is pitching well?

Great answer. He’s pitching great except for 3 gopher balls. Batting practice pitches left up in the zone. Great answer. Exactly how you lose. A pitcher that throws curve balls and mid 80,s fastball cannot leave ANY pitches up in the zone or else he should be pitching for Bossier Parish Community College

have you ever watched a baseball game before? You don’t think a pitcher ever misses spots? It happens; usually the opponents aren’t able to take advantage every time.

At least he had the guts to go out there and pitch

I’m with you. I’ve always been 100% behind the team, but for a team with this talent to perform in this manner is just depressing. Pitching depth aside, we have been terribly inconsistent at bat, especially given the returning talent.

Yes. I played a long time. I played college at La Tech many, many years ago. So I don’t want to argue about bullshite. The first homer was a 75 mph gopher ball above the waste. Great pitchers don’t do that 3 times in 3 innings. Not if you want to win.

you’re a moron who can’t even figure out how to use the quote function.

Listen, pitchers at all levels make mistakes. Batters usually aren’t able to take advantage every time. Get over it.

Pitching is about precision. I know this is college, but damn, don’t they practice 12 months of the year??? 11-2 now. I guess this is just a down year, with all the injuries and lack of focus. I love the Tigers and I get upset when they fail. Sorry.

A thread complaining about Mainieri not being critical of a player.

Intriguing.

Moving Hess out of a starter's role is one of the most illogical moves I've seen in a while.

Mainieri earned this. He needs to sit there and watch his starting pitching crash and burn to the point where he's throwing bottom of the bullpen guys in the hope that the quality bullpen guys will have a more important role later in the series (unlikely).
