Sounds like everyone would be happy in that setup....ideal solution

@Mark_Schlabach: Now I'm hearing #UGA to Cap One vs #Nebraska; #LSU to Cotton; SC to Outback and A&M to Chick-fil-A & Miss St to Gator

Have not heard answer to that question

So this looks like its happening:

Cap One: Georgia-Nebraska
Cotton: LSU-Texas
Outback: South Carolina-Michigan
Chicken: Texas A&M-Clemson
Gator: Miss State-Northwestern

Bad blood between the Big 12 and A&M for leaving.

I don't think there's any interest from either the big 12 or A&M for a matchup there. It seems like they'er trying to distance themselves from that conference, still, which I understand. They've gotta assimilate into the SEC right now.

On the contrary, I think ATM want to stick it to their former conference right now

some people saying that NIU might have stolen a BCS spot. If that's the case then Oklahoma will be in the Cotton Bowl against either Georgia or LSU

Whether we play OU or Texas, I think most LSU fans would be very pleased with Cotton.

Depending on if N.Ill makes it into the BCS, it could be Oklahoma in the Cotton, not Texas

Cap One apparently DID want A&M badly, but the SEC office started throwing its weight around. Looks like LSU/Georgia will be in Cotton/Cap One. That's all over twitter right now with sportswriters citing *sources*

aTm would only be screwing their fans if they said no to Cotton. 10,000 fans go to ATL. they'd bring 50 grand to Dallas.

LSU vs Oklahoma in the cotton would be ideal. It's actually the matchup we all thought we'd be getting in the sugar bowl. Payouts don't really matter either because the money is split between the conference members, so I think it would work out better than a Sugar bowl appearance for LSU. As much as I'd love to see LSU in NOLA again, I'd have no interest in watching them play Louisville.

SI.com has all the polls up and some prelim BCS rankings with Georgia ahead of Florida......

LINK

Would that put Georgia in the Sugar? Seems unlikely to actually happen but... still...

Considering how this season played out, injuries, slow developing QB, one loss that shouldn't have been. The Cotton Bowl is a huge reward for this years team. I'm happy for them.
