Being anti mandate does not make one anti vax.

Good thing there’s no mandate. You have a choice.

Thank goodness we do for now, well see how that turns out here soon enough. You must have missed the most divisive speech a sitting president has ever given not to long ago.

the stadium is overbuilt. Could be fixable with removing all the bleachers and install chair backs, but no way we should have over 100,000 seats. Should be closer to 90k like before the south upper.

Tiger stadium is competing against the living room now with 65" 4K OLED TVs, not fighting traffic, not dealing with covid tests/vaccine cards, etc...

That is paid attendance.

Many things are impacting attendance --
1) Team is less than exciting / Coach O ain't exactly at peak of his popularity
2) COVID protocols
3) Recent brutal hurricane in Houma/NOLA area
4) Overall negativity towards LSU -- woke agenda does have a real impact on a portion of die hard fans (Middleton Library, etc).

Each of the above is having an impact.

The vaccine mainly keeps me from going to the hospital and dying

I'd like to see that evidence.

You're talking to the same people who are scared of taking an FDA-approved vaccine but trip over themselves to take horse medicine.

Damone, you may want to look into these things before just shooting your mouth off. Such an ignorant statement. There are multiple studies showing that Ivermectin is an effective anti-viral, but nowadays who really knows. FDA approved...pulease...

Correct, but I was at every one of those non-conference games listed & a lot of them were just about that full. I've never seen the upper decks as empty at the beginning of a game as they've been this season. Even looking at "paid attendance" this year has only been in the 90's.

Agreed with all of your points on impacts for this years attendance. I was just pointing out the fact that the stadium has been packed for non-conference games in the past.

If you are over the age of 65 or have health issues get the vax. If you are obese get the vax. If you are under the age of 40, have a low BMI and exercise regularly the SCIENCE says you have an extremely high percentage of survival

It really boils down to how much of a risk taker you are.

Using those numbers, roughly 32,691,000 have caught Covid and 691,000 died. Let’s break that down. Using the law of averages, for every group of 48 who catch it, 1 person dies.

It’s funny how people are. You’d buy a raffle ticket for $1 if you knew you had a 1 in 48 chance of winning $32,000,000. In fact, you’d think you had a pretty decent chance. You might say “I like my odds”. But, if you hear that only 1 in 48 people who catch Covid die, suddenly you think you are in that group of 47 who won’t die. You think that the odds are long that you’d be that 1 guy.

Notwithstanding the downvotes to come, the inconvenient fact is that a significant (but not the only--see also lousy performance and lousy opponent) reason for the poor attendance is the unwillingness of many to go into a stadium full of people who think getting vaccinated is somewhere between unmanly and unRepublican.
And no, the entrance requirements do not effectively eliminate anyone who wants to get around them.

The United States has a 1.6% mortality rate for Covid 19.

People die daily from a million different things, this virus is no different. It's simple.

best post in the thread. Bama is already taking out seats to make the stadium more comfortable/add more premium seating

It wouldn't be full anyway.

Week 1 loss, crappy showing vs McNeese, MAC opponent in week 3. That's 90% of the cause of the attendance woes.

WRONG. I was offered free tickets from 3 different people as this past weekend approached and turned them down because I simply dont want to put up with the bullshite regulations and checkpoints. Typically I will go without hesitation if offered LSU tickets.
