The defense is the biggest problem. If anyone needs to apologize, it is Po Pelini.

Looks like we got about a 20% improvement. We still had 3 or 4 busted plays that went for big yards.
It's probably good enough to win with when we score 40+

Why? The defense still sucked balls yesterday they just had the offense firing on all cylinders to make not look as bad. I would have already moved Coz to Clark’s spit at MLB and out Stevens in Cox’ old weakside LB spot where can find ball, hit ball with fewer coverage assignments. Start Toles at Stevens old spot, Josh White for Baskerville, Hampton over Harris and I would start Ojulari, Roy, Evans and Gaye on the DL.

Most of you want to stick to your Coach Pelini bashing.

There is nothing wrong with admitting that you were wrong about his defensive coach prowess.

Just as I predicted the beatdown of USCe, you will see an emasculation of Auburn's offense by the Tiger defense.

As with my prediction of the USCe game, you have personal guarantee.

Even a blind hog finds an acorn on occasion. The defense sucks! I’m hopefully that the corner has been turn, but I’m damn sure not sold!

The vast majority of LSU fans know that Coach Pelini was a great hire. We aren't fair weather fans. We support Coach Pelini 100%.

The naysayers are always willing to sling out a down vote, but they aren't the majority.

I’ll apologize to Pelini as soon as he calls and personally apologizes to me for the abomination of a “defense” he trotted out against MSt and Mizzou.

8yrds a play and 400+yards for the game vs USCe ain’t gonna garner much sympathy from me.

I’ll always cheer on the Tigers until there are all zeros on the scoreboard but we beat USCe and will beat Aubbie in spite of the D not BC of it. GDT’s

Apologize for what??

LSU's Defense - Stats

LSU Pass Defense
> LSU allows 9.18 YPA Passing
> LSU's opponents (outside of LSU) average 6.47 YPA Passing
> LSU opponents average 142% of their averages against LSU

LSU Rush Defense
> LSU allows 4.78 YPA Rushing
> LSU's opponents (outside of LSU) average 3.49 YPA Rushing
> LSU opponents average 137% of their averages against LSU

Even this past weekend VS a terrible USC with an extra week to Simplify and Fix the D!

> South Carolina vs AU/FLA/VOLS/VANDY: 6.28 YPA Pass
> South Carolina vs LSU: 10.64 YPA Pass
South Carolina averaged 169% of their YPA passing for the year vs LSU

> South Carolina vs AU/FLA/VOLS/VANDY: 4.25 YPA Rush
> South Carolina vs LSU: 5.83 YPA Rush
South Carolina averaged 137% of their YPA passing for the year vs LSU

Apologize for what? I will say this. I don't know if it is because of TJ Finley or what, but the offense was able to run the ball, and stay on the field a lot longer.. That is always beneficial to the defense. The offensive like seemed to be doing a better job this week which allowed the run to open up. But the middle of that defense needs some work.

bullshite.

If Aranda’s defense had the exact same numbers against SC, you and the other idiots would be screaming for him to be fired.

They ran off tackle all game because our ends aren’t setting the edge. So it’s a race to the C gap between our LB’s & their backs. Jet sweeps work every time. Our ends are lining up right over the tackles & trying to go inside, and no one is coming behind them to fill the C. frick this defense.
