Make Tebow and Meyer pay for their stupidity

If he plays, knock the hell out of him. Clean and aggressive hits and blitzes. I am really sick of these stupid comments like if he's cleared.
There is no reason this young man should be playing tonight, and if he's stupid enough to risk his health, and so are his coaches and team doctors, then so be it.
He's not some warrior if he gets hurt worse by the way for trying to play. He's an idiot who set a horrible example, especially as a supposed Christian, by making a single game of football more important than his health.

I could be totally wrong, but I believe that this whole thing is much more of a distraction for FL than LSU. I'm beginning to feel more and more like the Tigers win comfortably tonight.

yeah!!! let's make him "pay"
let's make a college kid who wants to play football (something he loves) pay dearly

IMO, it is stupid, unless he is kept from doing some of the TT heroics on 3rd down.....
he should not be banging the ball thru as he sometimes does......
that can get him injured, very injured, without anyone doing anything but playing the game.

Dude, most concussions occur on QBs and on pass attempts not runs. That is a statistical fact. As for Tebow, he shouldn't be playing, but if UF, Meyer, the doctors, and might Tebow put more on this game than his lifetime of health, then he deserves to get his block knocked to show kids that football is never more important than your health.

there sure are a lot of doctors on this board.

Hmmmm...well I am quite qualified to make these statements son. Believe me.

The docs on this board, and across the country for that matter, don't think he should play. And yes, I know what I'm talking about also. It's just STUPID to risk his future, not to mention his health.

Actually, I think there are. On another site, I read several posts from doctors. Second impact injury (may have the wrong term here) was a prevailing concern in those posts. My read of those posts was if Tebow takes a good shot his life could be in danger. On another note, if he does get more concussions this year, I think his draft stock comes tumbling down.

as in a foregone conclusion that he would have multiple concussions if he got 1 more at all? Now that's ridiculas.

Sorry, I trust the team of doctors working with Tebow much more than the medical opinions made without assessing the patient/tests/recovery and instead basing said opinions on published reports that are shotty at best and lack any real substance.
We've yet to find out if Tebow will even play, we'll find out tonight when the offense takes the field.

You Gatorfans really are pitiful. It's very sad. The fact is that the window following a concussion where very detrimental effects can occur generally ranges from 2-6 weeks following the initial concussion. The length of time varies based on the severity of the initial concussion. The fact Tebow lost consciousness for almost a minute or two and convulsed are signs that it was a severe concussion.
Furthermore, the fact he hasn't had any symptoms since Monday show that he hasn't been clear of symptoms for more than a week.
He is at risk, and the fact Meyer is even playing tihs chirade is an embarrassment. These fools are setting a horrible example about how kids should see football in regards to their health.

Understand. And that makes sense, but the concern that he plays based on other factors is not limited to this message board.

He got cleared by Lloyd's of London... He's got a $3 million insurance policy with them... Use your head...

Don't get me wrong, I only want to see Tebow play if he's 100% and isn't at higher risk than he would have been before the injury.
I'm just saying, it's premature to blast to blast Meyer when he hasn't stated at all that Tebow will start.
Meyer has said repeatedly that it's up to the team of doctors and won't make a decision until he gets word from them. It's the media that has eluded to Tebow playing.
