and the fact that we are trotting out four high school pitchers tells me everything I need to know about this staff. Thank goodness Evans and Rizy are producing but they should not have to be relied upon.

That is because you have a short memory. Compare the conference-only stats to 2023.
WHY ARE YOU USING FACTS AND STATS!!!!
I WANT MY FEELINGS HEARD!!!

We scored 3 runs against Northwestern St rag arms. I guess the pitching was supposed to hold their offense to 2 or less.
Not getting run ruled at home by Northwestern f-ing State would have been nice.

I mean they let them put up 13 in 7 innings.
guys we expect to pitch on the weekend gave up 7 in 2 innings hitting guys and giving up bombs.

people are upset because our 2 best relief pitchers are long relief guys who can pitch a lot i guess.

Would be happy with just throwing strikes.
This. I'm no analytics guy, but if the avg. batting is .300, then the probability of a batter hitting a HR or getting on base is pretty low. Throw a strike, let your Defense back you up. But with LSU's recent defensive struggles, makes this challenging as well.

what sucks was benge looked good Tuesday but he got squeezed a bit and had Jones looking worse than will helmers behind him, then he had his walk that he always gives up. I was encouraged to see the movement on his pitches though.
I thought his stuff looked better than ever. then you have rizy who has one of the most incredible pitches on the team with that sinking fastball, the issue is that it doesn't always sink, when it does sink it's swing and miss ,when it doesn't, guys just foul him off until they get a ball and they get walked.
noot was good ,I believe it's his turn to come in before benge and other righties.. the question is who do we start Sundays.
the options are
ware
shores
noot
Schmidt
maybe rizy
id try Schmidt or noot

Tell Mizzou that. They have team ERA of 9.60
