I think it was 2nd quarter…. Major Burns appeared to have lost his footing on a quick slant. He recovered, took a great angle, and prevented a momentum swinging touchdown…. Ultimately holding Bama to a field goal. To me, this was the “hustle” play of the game.

To add, this is the difference in this team versus last years team…. Heart.

It's the type of play you run over and over and over again in film. Major props to that kid.

It’s an amazing feat to run down a Bama receiver. Great play.

I was just about to post this but you beat me to it and actually did it better. What a play by Burns! You are spot on with your comment regarding the difference between this team and the teams of the last two seasons.

Didn't realize he was that fast.

Listen to Coachs post game - he said "he better have" about Burns chasing him down (or something similar.) Apparently Burns was supposed to play inside out and let the receiver get inside/under him.

I understand your sentiment but there was a lot of heart on last years team. They could have followed 4T8’s lead and punted on the bowl game but they accepted the heavily undermanned challenge and laid the first stone for this years foundation.

He must be fast as shite because he caught him from behind and saved a TD

Unfortunately, Burns didn’t have a very good game last night.

The only defender that I noticed for all the wrong reasons was Greg Brooks. He had a tough one.

I hated that play in the beginning then I loved it when he tracked that dude down. It was an awesome recovery.

He ran up and leaned outside when the WR made the cut inside. It was an awful angle. It’s pretty amazing he was able to run the dude down after that.

I will give him that play, but he also got "Major Burned" letting WR get behind him for a TD on a scramble by Young. We had Young bottled up and was going to get the sack on 3rd down and flip the field, but hell no. He has a brain fart and gets burned.
