Like I said, we show up when it matters.

If that were true 100% of the time - there would be a whole lot more years on The Intimidator.

TCU is playing with a chip on its shoulder. They came within 2 innings of going to Omaha instead of Texas last year... Game 3 Super Reg. heartbreak. This year they are MUCH improved over last year. Purke is a strike machine. Their defense is EXTREMELY disciplined and they are cagey on offense.

They actually remind me a LOT of LSU's team last year.

Troubl's right. I got to see a little of the MW tournament. TCU is damn good. Not saying that the Tigers couldn't beat them but they'd definitely have to bring their A game.

you'll never in a million years hear Les Miles be this brutally honest and straightforward with the fans.

Their starting staff is 32-2!

Obviously against lower competition, but very good none the less.

Purke looks like a guy who could be hit, but his strikeout total is very ridiculous. With our batters, he could very well strikeout a bunch.

We need to hire the football coach equivalent of Mainieri. Its safe to say we have the antithesis to PM at the helm now.

LSU is the best 2 seed of all time. Put us in any regional, we would kick anybody's arse, including Virginia, Texas, Arizona State, etc. Our pitchers are back.

(not to mention the Super-regional pairing would be less favorable as well).

According to you, we should just stay home if we are sent to Fort Worth. To be the best, beat the best. We should fear no one.

It is odd for fans of one of the premier baseball programs to be scared of anyone, but particularly TCU.

If AR, Ross, Alsup, and Bradshaw pitch like they did this week then it doesn't matter where we get sent. The Sub will be an easy 3 wins.

Easy. The disappointment sets in for anyone who loves LSU football and happened to watch LSU in the tourney and listen to PM being interviewed.

"The good news is, since there are no football players on this year's team, I won't have to worry about Les Miles showing up in Omaha, hoping to share in the glory of those players who he was never able to witness performing at a high level on the football field"?

No. I just said that I would rather not see LSU in the Fort Worth Regional hosted by TCU. I would rather have seen them elsewhere.
I've seen TCU play many times this season and I know what kind of team they are. Anybody who has seen a couple of TCU games this year would probably agree with me.

I also didn't want LSU to go to Fort Worth because I figured the Super Regional pairing would result in LSU (if they had won) playing even farther west.

Turns out one of my concerns became a reality with the Tigers playing WAAAAAY out west...
