CPM mentioned in one of this interviews/pressers this week that the reason we have lost games the past two weeks is defense and he's thinking about sacrificing offensive for defense in upcoming series.

I see his point, but I'm like you - I don't see how a 2 for 30 hitter can even be in the mix. That's a free 0 for 3 every game.

Fosters diving attempt wasn't all that horrible. It's not like he dove way behind the ball. He dove and it went under his glove, just slightly misjudged it.

What's the deal with schiambra??? Is he hurt, or no longer in the OF mix?

I didn't realize Laird, McMullen and Foster were a defensive liability with their combined 0 errors this year.

ETA: and I know outfielders don't get many error opportunities, and it is about getting to more ball yada yada yada, so no need to clarify for me.

Foster belongs in RF, dude has the best arm in the OF. Need proof? Go watch his throw to home that Katz cut off Sunday. That thing was a rope.

McMullen is on a 7 game hitting streak and has 8 doubles in SEC play so he is out DH

Laird is the CF because Stevenson can't hit. Laird is batting around .300

Yeah it's pretty pissing off huh. I think someone should unload their grandstand tix to me this weekend so they don't have to put up with this stuff.

He struck out 45 times in 10 at bats. Needs to see the ball better before returning

He brings more to the outfield than he does to the plate. My gripe with him is that he doesn't have a lot of good at bats. He'll have one good swing and pull a liner right down the right field line way foul, and that'll be it. It's obvious that coach loves him, but I'm glad he's currently giving other guys a change to step up like Foster.

I think Paul is stuck because he knows our two best outfielders (for the two open spots) are Stevenson and Laird, but they are also our two worst hitters. So it's a matter of where you make that sacrifice and then to what extent.

didn't laird and rhymes let one fall right in between them? looked like neither of them wanted it.

Laird couldn't see it, Rhymes wasn't fast enough to get there. Laird would've caught it if he saw it.

Yeah, hopefully Stevenson comes through. I would rather platoon Stevenson/Laird till one of them starts to hit, and Mcmullen/Foster platoon in RF, until we can see which one defensively turns out. If its Foster, then McMullen DH, if its Mcmullen in RF, then Foster/Moore DH

I dont understand why mineari wants to change shite up so much when nothing is wrong...IE starting mccune on sunday.

Foster sured up RF this past weekend IMO. Or even put Mcmullen in RF and let Foster DH but Foster clearly secured a spot in the lineup after this weekend. Stevenson has no business being on the field this year. Maybe next year but certainly not this year. His fielding is not any better than Laird and the dude just cannot hit. His at bat Sunday was atrocious.

LF- Rhymes CF- Laird RF- McMullen/Foster

DONE

I agree with your entire post with the exception of your spelling of our head coach.
