Also, home run celebrations will be curtailed. The rules committee said players cannot greet the home run hitter at home plate and instead can go no farther than the warning track area outside the dugout, or about 15 feet.

I truly think the loss of his old man is having a major effect on him. He seems like a guy in mourning.

This thread did not go well for OP. Took a wrong turn at complaining about a home run and then veered further off course by not knowing the rules.

Uhhhhhh no

First, I never complained about a home run

Second, I know the rules. Mainieri was grabbing guys that were about 5 feet out of the dugout and when they gave him the cold shoulder he sulked back to the dugout right away.

Don’t take my word for it, go watch the replay

You guys are reaching for shite to be upset about at this point. I couldn't careless if Mainieri had stormed out of the dugout and been the life of the party after the homer, and I couldn't careless that he tried to pull his guys back in the dugout after the homer.

I care.

I care because this is a team that desperately needs a spark. One of your senior leaders breaks a shutout with a 3 run bomb to take the lead. That could be your moment. What the frick are you worried about happening with a couple guys 5 feet out of the dugout?

He needs to be more focused on how he can motivate his team, not whatever the frick he was all worried about there

Because it’s against the rules

Didn’t they get told something a couple of weeks ago?
I know they came out of the dugout & ump went over as CPM was telling them to get back

Honestly him going out there to grab them wasn’t even the worst part

The worst part was how the players reacted like he didn’t even exist. And Mainieri didn’t even argue, it’s like he knew he lost the team

this

There is plenty to be critical about regarding Mainieri.

But, it's the simpleton that has to talk himself into believing that he was sulking after the 3 run home run.

Or maybe he wanted his guys to be happy! See how this works dumbfrick. Keep grasping for what little bit of misery you can after a big win.

You have to remember that Louisiana is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to its education. Majority of posters on this board are from Louisiana. So, the board is heavily populated by pretty dumb people.

It's like when your grandmaw tells you that when a 3 year old has a cough, you can fix it with whisky and honey. These people believe that, and no matter how many facts you bring to the other side of the argument, they are going to believe what grandma said.

It works the same with LSU on this board. A baseball game last 3+ hours. Mainieri is shown probably a max of 2 minutes out of those 3 hours. They come to the conclusion that Mainieri doesn't care based on those quick shots they get. No amount of logic you can bring to it will change their mind.

It goes on in tons of threads every day here. There are anti Mainieri people, pro Mainieri people, anti Orgeron and pro Orgeron people that fall into this category.

Lester Earl is pretty universally hated on this board. It is because he is one of the few who isn't stupid. I don't agree with a lot of his arguments, but he backs up his stance with logic. So, even when he is wrong, he can make people on this board look very stupid.

I’m just pointing out what I saw. It looked strange to me.

You can interpret it however you want.

I thought Cade was going to get tossed atleast he saw ball called strike

What he saw was a strike called strike. Now, Hal Hughs got goat-screwed in the eigth inning. That called strike three was 8 inches inside. On the other hand, so was the pitch that ended the game.
