My guess it's some kind of academic honor code violation.
This was my first thought when I heard the news. I have no first hand information, but not in camp for academic issues and now suspended for violation of team rules. That seems to point towards cheating/honor code violation.

I agree. I also think it leads to an easier path back to the team if all he needs to do is satisfy the HC and not satisfy some university academic requirement.

I know that "indefinitely" literally means "an undetermined amount of time", but doesn't it usually mean "That's it" in these cases?

It was used because the return date is going to be determined by Teuhema. Once he's met the academic minimum, if he meets it, I'm sure he will be reinstated.

Might be the best option since Cush got all the spring reps at C with Clapp out. Start rubbing chx bones together now for a healthy OL....all season!

Said it after yesterday's news on Teuhema but we don't have the depth on either side of the line this year to compete for a championship. Games against Alabama, Florida, Auburn, and even Arkansas are gonna get tough to watch in the second half if we don't have a lead.

Anyone that tries to blame the staff over this kid and not handling his own responsibilities has to be borderline mentally retarded

Fair or unfair, if he doesn't make it back and the o-line struggles, the coaching staff will get the blame. That's part of the job.
Maybe this is a case of a guy that was on his 9th strike and couldn't correct his situation. I still wonder why did this have to happen literally weeks before the first game? How far back did they know that this was a problem? Those are questions to which we probably won't get answers.

He likely needed a certain grade to be eligible and missed it

Ok.
What's the remedy to that situation when we're a month out from the start of the season?

Summer intercession class
but thats much harder than a summer course.
And you have to think he'll need a high B or more to make up for whatever he got a low grade in over the summer

This. Either he busts his arse to get his GPA up to snuff in the intercession or he's out for the fall.
