Not sure if this is Germans, but the student section deserves a huge thank you for their performance during the last part of the Arkansas game yesterday. They started a "STAND UP" chant and got the entire PMAC on their feet. Probably one of the loudest times I've ever heard that place.

So, from the one person stuck in the middle of all the old people that stands up the entire time...THANKS, STUDENTS!

I started a similar thread yesterday and it was after one similar to it was posted. I think its great that everyone is giving the students credit. Watching it on TV was pretty amazing. The student section started chanting STAND UP and the crowded got back into it.

The leadership the students took was pretty awesome to see on TV.

The crowd in general was very good. It was amazing to finally see people walking around before the game with fingers up asking for tickets.

If you are lucky enough and live long enough and you are still able to go to LSU games at an advanced age, why should it be ruined by some slacker wannabe who stands up in front of you the whole time?

One of my neighbors, who is in her late 70's, was thrilled to be able to go to a game with her son. She and her late husband were basketball season ticket holders since Dale Brown's early days. But her son told me that she hardly got to see anything and they left early because of the 2 jerks in front of her who stood almost the whole game. They asked the 2 backward cap wearing morons to sit down and they would not. The marshals would do nothing.

If you are in the student section and they want to stand the whole time, fine, some of the older fans, through age or disease cannot. Do you half-witted jerks really think the players look up in the stands and think "I better make this shot, Darrell & Skeeter have been standing the up for the whole half".

You know the world exist beyond the perception of your feeble little brain. No, I don't guess you do know that.

Well they must have not asked the marshals to tell the guys to sit down. So that's a lie. I've seen the marshals tell people, and make them, sit down multiple times.

If she can't stand up well, then get a seat in the handicapped section up around the walkway between the middle and upper sections. There would have been no one blocking her view.

Calm down, they're standing to support their team. And its a free country, if they wanna stand and cheer they have every right to do so. Thats why the game marshall ignored your friend.

Her son told me he asked the marshal, but the guy never came down. I don't know what section they were in.

We had a guy in our section in Tiger Stadium insist on standing all the time, I think he was an Aggie, till the lady behind him poured a drink down the back of his shirt. That would have been my suggestion.

well if you want to sit, someone else has the right to stand. You are like a politically correct Democrat or something, freedom only under your conditions

This is exactly why TS sucked this season. Fans like you and those around you. Stand up and yell.

andouille, 2 minutes left and up 4, I hope the entire stadium is standing up. If she must sit the entire time, the handicap section is the place for her. K? Thx.

And you wonder why Death Valley isn't as intimidating as it used too be? Stand up and scream or go to Bama.

I personally am constantly on my feet, but if an old lady behind me asks me to control myself, I would try.

When the TAF surcharges went into effect several years ago I said that it would have the effect of replacing some of the looser fans with older, wealthier fans. That doesn't mean you can be rude to people.

To stand and clap is great but by standing you can't hear or see better so whats the point

Living in Tenn, watching the game on tv, I was proud to see and hear the support for our Damn Strong Basketball Team. Good leadership SS. Energy is not exclusively for the young, but some of the older types need a little "priming of the pump".
