So is this cat really gonna perform in our stadium???

At least the stadium will be full, albeit with 10 year old girls.
The 10 year old girls would probably yell louder than most of the bandwagon fans that go to games

No, he won't be there.

Would be really neat if so.

I'm heartbroken that someone that 80% of the stadium has never heard of will not be performing.
Maybe we can land someone obviously better like Creed or Nickleback.

I see what you did there

A better fit for Tiger Stadium would be The Oak Ridge Boys or the Statler Bros.
When Sweet Home Baton Rouge comes on a lot of people that sit around me tear up and their bottom lip is quivering.

We need to get Huey Lewis and the News to perform. Our sophisticated fans will absolutely go apeshit nuts when they do "Heart of Rock 'n Roll" and he says "Baton Rouge" in the middle of the song.

quote:Im thinking Janis Joplin. "Busted flat in Baton Rouge" Im surprised they dont play Bobby Magee in our stadium. I mean they play Calling Baton Rouge, which is about a trucker passing through that had a great night with a hooker off plank road, so I would think a song about someone waiting on a train should suffice as well

How does anyone get this out of the lyrics of Callin Baton Rouge?

How does anyone get this out of the lyrics of Callin Baton Rouge? I hear this a lot but there is nothing in the song that alludes to it being about a hooker

I seriously doubt this is true, but the rant's reaction is what I suspected.
GET ONE OF BIGGEST MUSIC STARS IN WORLD TO PLAY AT HALFTIME:
We don't want him because he's pro-gay or something!
Funny stuff.

So I guess all one night stands are with hookers.. Im not obtuse I just don't pay for sex like you apparently do.
BTW Why would anyone try to call a hooker to "talk" the next day and who wants to be with a hooker all the time? Plus he told the bitch he was going to spend all his money calling her on the phone.. Hooker would have hung up right there.

Its the fact that you add disgrace to the song that's played at LSU by identifying it with sex trade. Has the author of the song actually said it was about a hooker? Im asking because I have heard more than one person claim this but only on this site.
shite for all we know the dude could just fell in love with a girl he met in Louisiana.
