Domangue, Devall, Whitty and Stone are not helping their cases this summer.

Faucheux is making a very good case for himself, however.

Bugg misses AD (as do I).

On a side note, I think they are supposed to announce the Gold Spikes during this hour of Sportscenter.

eta: oops, this hour on Thursday. carry on.

I imagine if Mac answered the call and made any comment then he wouldn't say that he is negotiating.

dfolse dropping insider nuggets.

ETA: Marshall has a lot of leverage. All he needs to do is have his "advisor" let him know if/when the Stros call with an offer that matches his number. If I were him, I would give no leeway, stick to my number, and let it all unfold.

Unless he crossfits too

ETA: I just dont know if Aiken is willing to take that low of an offer. I would love to have all 3, but damn, low balling that low just feels a little wrong.

Please try a more realistic suggestion. That's just not happening.

LSU will closely monitor what happens between the Astros and Aiken. Tiger coaches have even been in contact with Aiken's advisor to stay updated on the negotiations, ensuring they aren't caught off guard.

That's pretty interesting that our coaches, a detached third party in these negotiations, have been in contact with Aiken's advisor.

That is interesting, but that tells me all I need to know about Marshall. He is a good kid who has kept the staff in loop to exactly what his plans are. As was speculated, he probably has a set number and if it is met, he will sign. If not, he will stay at LSU, but I am just glad the staff is in the loop and not being strung along. That alone sets him apart from previous signees who ended up jetting.

Take it FWIW, must Marshall just favorited this

Favorited by Mac Marshall @jimcallisMLB Unless Aiken signs for $5 mil or less well in advance of deadline, highly unlikely enough time for @Astros to sign Mac Marshall. @MLBDraft

This is ultimately all up to Marshall anyway. Even if the Astros make a big offer, he can always just decline it and stay at LSU, which he will if he is intent on keeping his word. Nothing is certain until the 19th though.
